New open source project. This software is able to handle TCG OPAL 2.0-compliant Self-Encrypting Drives (SEDs).
What does it mean? If you have opal compatible drive and want to use encryption, you dont have to use software encryption which has very high impact on performance. You can use build in the drive encryption mechanism.
