TRIM not working

Hi! TRIM is not working on my computer. I have Intel H97 Chipset and two Crucial MX200 SSDs running in raid 0 as a system drive. I am using Windows 10 x64 with 14.8 iRST. TRIM is enabled on Windows but both TrimCheck and manual check via HXD are showing TRIM as disabled… I have tried an older iRST drivers but my TRIM is still not working and health of my SSDs went down from 100% to 94% because of the issue. Can you guys help me fix the problem?

@JohnyJohny :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

Both methods are not able to detect, whther TRIM has been disabled by the OS or not, they can only check, whether there is TRIM activity above the limit of detection within the related SSD resp. RAID array or not.
Maybe the TRIM activity is so low, that both methods are not able to detect it. Furthermore Crucial MX200 SSDs have a Sandforce Controller, which makes it even more difficult to verify TRIM activity.
You should trigger TRIM as proposed within the start post of >this< thread, before you are going to check the TRIM activity.

hi, filling ssd with MX200 and checking benchmark speed will not work, because of the dynamic write acceleration tech crippling speed when ssd is full.

@JohnyJohny :
I didn’t gave you the advice to fill up your SSDs resp. RAID array with data.
As layed down within the start post of the previously linked “TRIM Check” thread, you should trigger TRIM by running the Win8.1/10 “Optimizer” or the tool named “Anvil’s Storage Utilities”, which has the option to trigger TRIM. After having done that, wait 30 seconds and then re-run the TrimCheck tool or re-do the manual TRIM test by using a Hex Editor.

yes, I have tried it. Didn’t work

I repeat: A negative TRIM test result does not automaticly mean, that TRIM is not working within your SSDs/RAID array. It only means, that TRIM activity could not been detected (which is not easy for SSDs, which have a Sandforce Controller).
By the way: Sandforce Controller SSDs usually have a very good “Garbage Collection” and do not need TRIM support as much as other SSDs.
Questions:
1. Have you reserverd any unallocated SSD space for overprovisioning purposes? If yes, how much?
2. How much free space is currently within your RAID array?

Well, I am sure TRIM is not working and so is Micron support, because health of my SSDs is really going down the drain.

1. Nope
2. 250GB

Ok, I recommend to ask the Crucial Support,
a) whether your SSDs do support TRIM and
b) what may be the reason for your performance decrease.

I already ask both of these questions, TRIM should work and the most likely reason is not working TRIM.

Try to read and so check… https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4002…ndows-10-a.html

I am pretty sure, that this was the first, what JohnyJohny has checked.

Well, we can not know that for sure. Perhaps it was necessary to begin with this place - Fernando?
