I recently bought a Jmicron Addon controller card with RAID 0 and 1 functionality , but there is no detection of the hard dics in windows 11. I can see the drive letters but there is no volume bar (just below the drive letter) visible. When I click on the drive letter windows 11 says : “drive x not accessible”. Tried differrent versions of drivers of JMicron. It seems the drivers are not specifically for windows 11 but for windows 2000 etc … So I tried to update the BIOS of the card to version 01.07.28 (latest) but the tool ('36Xupd.EXE) says : “device ID : 0x0000 not supported”. The strang thing is the box of the card says “windows 11 supported” (???). Does anybody know how I can do the update of the JMB363 card ? It is a card which has 2 ports (internally) and 2 ports externally and 1 IDE PATA connector. There is RAID 0 and 1 available but I do not use it.
No hw platform specified… you’re setting this on a “washing machine” or what…
How do the disks display in Windows Device Manager and Disk Manager?
The JMB363 is an old device…from 2006, that’s 20yrs…
“windows 11 supported” sure… Chinese always put the “crown” on top of everything they sell…users get “blind” and go for it, sucess for the chinese guy…
Any update should better be tried out in windows 7 enviroment and you may need to hex edit hw ids.
