Speed definitely improves.
I will do trim checks soon. but expect it to work with the modded OROM and driver.

Next up is to flash the modded SATAdriver (E789_204sata3-7-0-1049 update) so I can do a UEFI install. I suppose I can just add it to the already modded rom?
Just getting ready for win 8.1. Does anyone know if this would benefit a win7 pro install?

BTW, samsung magician no longer recognizes the SSDs when they are in this RAID-0 array.

@ bwana:
Thanks for your report and the benchmark tests, which verify impressively the performance boost for X79 RAID systems by switching to the Intel RST 11.x.x.xxxx OROM/driver combination.

Why do you think, that the SataDriver v3.7.0.1049 has been "modded"?

Yes, you can. Is there no "SataDriver" module within the original BIOS?

You will get a quicker boot, but probably a performance dropdown caused by the v3.x.x.xxxx RAID Controller "Firmware". Furthermore you may loose the TRIM in RAID0 feature.
