I’m trying to update EVERYTHING of my Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe, so I made the following steps:
UBU for all OROM modules (after inserction os ASMedia sata3 ROM)
Intel MEI firmware update
GBe firmware update (1.3 → 1.5)
ASMedia usb3 firmware update (with DOS utility)
Now, I think I miss something, i.e. I remember an utility for Marvell sata3 controller of my old motherboard that update even Bios/firmware…
But it’s not clear for me the difference between OROM, firmware and bios, is it the same?

No, these are different things, but some Marvell AHCI/RAID Controllers only will work properly, if the Marvell OROM, the Marvell Firmware and the Marvell Bootloader have been updated at the same time.

Ok, thanks. So, as my bios is an UEFI one, I’ll have no other Marvell parts to update, right?
Any other component may be updated?
Yes, if you have updated the Marvell AHCI/RAID ROM.
You probably have to wait for the next UBU update, but it can’t take very long…
