Which exact version of ME is needed to disable it on 1151 Boards?

Sorry for opening another post, I come from here : Used SPI programmer on Gigabyte b250m now reboot loop

Tried ch341 SPI programmer. the only problem looks to be the HAP bit, setting it causes a reboot loop. Board is Gigabyte B250M HD3.

_haru said only a specific ME version can do this. anybody have a clue on which version it might be?

edit: a word

11.6.xx (Maybe 11.6.10.1196, but not certain)

@dsanke @svarmod @s.napi @PCGH_Torsten @Fileko

I also see this, saying 11.0 needed sometimes @_haru - QL32 Kaby Lake Xeon Engineering Sample on Asus Prime Z270-AR - Works but Can’t Restart

200 series can’t run anything below 11.6. I don’t think 200 series gigabyte is compatible with the mod at all. (Edit: it can, see the below post)

For Gigabyte 8M Flash chip 22nm PCH(100/200/H310C/Z370).
Use 11.8.60.3561 corporate.
Set Flash Size to 16M in FIT.
Remove MeRecoveryDxe.
Replace both Flash chip with MX25L12873F.
Flash modified BIOS to it.
You can also do coffee lake mod.
Then it can run all LGA1151 CPU including BGA-to-LGA and Xeon.Except pre-skylake ES ( 506E0/506E1/506E2)
I’ve tested with Xeon 9th 8c16T ES.

Thanks guys, great info!
