[Win7] AMD RX6600 GPU doesn’t work with MSI B650 MB

Msi B650 mobo
Ryzen 7600x cpu
Radeon RX6600 Graphics
Amd drivers 22.6.1
W7 installed on nvme drive
Bios correctly setup eufi
Using flashboot.

Driver Installed correctly in devices but not shown in dx11 dxdiag
but is correctly shown in GPUZ app
W7 fails to recognise the AMD GPU and uses the igpu with microsoft vga driver.
I can see from posts that this is a common problem.

Has anyone figured a solution or can recommend another graphics
card that will work with w7 eufi.
Thanks.

The driver is probably not installed.

You should better check the HardwareIDs of the graphics adapter and do a Google Search for a Win7 supporting AMD driver.

Hi, the amd driver installed is the last legacy release for W7
Did try earlier releases but the same outcome.

The device Id for the 6600 gpu-
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_73FF&SUBSYS_E4471DA2&REV_C7
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_73FF&SUBSYS_E4471DA2

Tried the amd igpu (Raphael) this is not recognised either
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_164E&SUBSYS_7D761462&REV_C7
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_164E&CC_0300

It seems for whatever reason W7 UEFI cannot recognise these gpu.

I recommend you to check the Device Manager. Check where is the monitor (if under RX6600 or other place). Check both adapters’ resource. Check PCI configuration space by RWEverything. The resizeable bar is also a possible reason.
