Hello, one question. Just today died my Z87 motherboard and im looking for replacement. Want to keep windows 7. As i see USB drivers are available for both chipsets now. But i want to use RAID 1 on this system and every guide i found online talking about installing windows 7 in AHCI mode, not raid. So anyone here have some experiences in installin win 7 in RAID mode od Z370/Z390 motherboards?
I checked intel and last drivers for win7 are 15.9.6.1044 - with support for z200 chipsets. Are these useable at last on Z370?
Newer version 16.8.2.1002 got support for z300, but lost windows 7.
Actual config is
SATA SSD for system
M2 SSD for temp
2xHDD in raid 1 for data
Guess i will need floppy preload drivers for win7 to see disks in raid mode.
@vlask :
Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!
Since all Intel SATA RAID Controllers from ICH8R up to Z390 have the same external DeviceID DEV_2822, you can install any Intel RST(e) RAID driver, which belongs to the v12/13/14/15 platform. I recommend to take the v15.5.2.1054 WHQL.
