I’ve been trying to install Windows 8.1 on my Dell Vostro 3520 for quite a while now, but constantly after setup it blue screens, shows error INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR and when it goes to recovery error 0xc0000001 appears!
If anyone wants more info on what my laptop specs are, here you go:
CPU - Intel i7 1255-U
GPU - Intel Iris XE Graphics
RAM - 16RAM
64Bit
UEFI only
Motherboard - Dell inc. 0PJ00M (U3E1)
Reboot into the installation media and press Shift+F10 to open up Command Prompt. Type in Notepad and press Enter to open it up. Press Ctrl+O and change the file type from .txt to all types and navigate to C:\Windows\system32/drivers, look for Intelpep.sys (Intel Power Engine Plug-in), and delete it. Restart, and 8.1 should load. This has been characteristic of some computers since Kaby Lake.
