I didn’t think it would be possible, but I have installed Windows XP on a Q85/Haswell PC with genuine drivers from Intel (chipset, graphics, and ethernet). I realise this might be old news to some, but here’s what I’m using:

In respect of the graphics and ethernet drivers, Intel warns they are intended for “embedded” systems only. Regardless, they work for me perfectly on my HP ProDesk 600.
There are a couple things I haven’t got working. USB 3.0 (which I don’t care for anyway) and AHCI, which I must get working so I can manually TRIM the SSD hard drive under XP.
I stumbled onto this Forum and found Modded & signed Intel RST Drivers v11.2.0.1006. AWESOME!
