I am running Windows 10 64bit UEFI mode (1 single Samsung 850 EVO SSD)
Currently using the default Microsoft windows driver.
I am frequently getting “Rest to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued” errors and system freeze for about 10 seconds.
Also getting Event 153 - “The IO operation at logical block address XXXXXXXX was retried” errors
I have read somewhere that installing the Intel ISRT drivers could fix the issue? Do you have any experience of this getting resolved?
Which driver should I install?

Many thanks

@spluff :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

Not really.
Questions:
1. Is your single SSD running in RAID or AHCI mode?
2. Have you already checked the integrity of your Samsung 850 EVO and your RAM sticks?
3. Is it a clean Win10 install or an upgrade?

If you should mean the driver for your onboard Intel SATA AHCI Controller, please look >here<.

  1. SSD is running in AHCI mode
    2. I have ran SMART on SSD and memcheck on memory - everything is okay
    3. Its a clean install

Looking at the post I think Intel RST(e) v13.1.0.1058 WHQL is the drivers to install? This runs good in Windows 10 64bit?
Hoping this Intel driver will resolve my issues

Many thanks for your quick reply,

I recommend to check the integrity of drive C from within the File Explorer (right click onto the drive > “Properties” > “Tools” > “Check”).

2 x yes!

Ive done a disk check and that was fine
Will try the Intel drivers as recommended
Also read that changing AHCI Link Power Management to ACTIVE may solve the freezing/errors.
Many thanks for your help Fernando.
