any way to rename bios version ?

Hi all

can I rename bios version on ASUS P8P67 ?

You can rename everything. The question is, if you will be able to get it flashed.
Questions:
What is the reason why you want to rename the BIOS?
What do you want to change (the name or the extension)?
What is the extension of the original BIOS file?

thanks for answer

we have an overclocking forum and we need make our own bios with our site name

for example: our site is OCH and we need rename bios version too OCH3.0

What do you want to change (the name or the extension)?

just version

What is the extension of the original BIOS file?

the original bios version is 3602

we need just rename date of bios and bios version

sorry for bad english

Each clean (extracted) BIOS file has an extension like ".ROM", ".CAP" or ".123". So the name of the BIOS file looks like "BIOS.ROM", "BIOS.CAP" or "BIOS.123".

I doubt, that this is the name of the BIOS file.

So you want to give the BIOS another (wrong) date and version?

YES

In this case you probably will have to change the hex code of the complete BIOS file by using a Hex Editor.
To be honest, in my eyes this action is absolutely useless resp. misleading and nothing where you can expect my help.

No, I have never tried to suggest a wrong BIOS version and date.
I cannot help you realizing your plan.

ok thanks very much

In simple words: you can’t change it to any text, but…
BIOS version in all ASUS UEFI BIOSes are not stored as text, but as two hex digits, so you can only make it like 0CB3 or something like that.
It can be changed with hex editor, search for $BOOTEFI$, version number is stored 3 bytes ahead, right before motherboard name.
