Er, that’s all I wanted to know.
THX.
@ MRAScott
Please explain, what you mean. What is a “SATA OROM”?
By the way: A changed or modded BIOS module doesn’t touch an existing RAID configuration. As long as you do not run the RAID “Utility” and create a new RAID array or delete an already existing RAID array, nothing happens.
I think I mean RAID OROM?
But anyway, I think I get the gist. I’m about to flash a modded UEFI BIOS with a v12.xxxx (ahem) RAID OROM (from 11.xxxx), but this will leave the current RAID config untouched?
Would changing the stripe size of the system drive require re-installing OS or restoring with a system image?
ETA >> changed the thread title so searches using the correct terminology will find it
Ok.
Yes!
If you want to change the stripe size, you should
a) do a backup of all RAID array partitions,
b) break the existing RAID array,
c) rebuild the RAID array with the desired stripe size and
d) restore your previous RAID partitions from the backup.
Maybe you will have to repair the boot sector by booting off the media containing the OS Setup image.

Many thanks, F.
You’re an absolute star.
