I’m using Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54. Everything is good, except no Intel MEI in device manager, no audio (Realtek ALC255 audio codec not detected), Intel ME in BIOS shows
“failed with version 0.0.0”.
No asserting HDA_SDO HIGH.

Already cleaned ME and flash back by CH341 programmer but the problem still persists.
Dumped new SPI image by “fptw64 -d spi.bin” and check ME Analyzer, File System State always shows “Configured”.
Can someone help me with that?
Someone attempted E1. HDA_SDO/GPIO33 (a.k.a. “Pinmod”) and has done damage to the system.
EDIT: If you cleaned it, then it’s re-initialized. If you have any doubts that ME seetings were messed up, search for a donor working dump and exchange ME_region.
You dont specify if this is your system or a user/client repair system… and we here are not “wizzards” to know what the system has been subjected to.
Here’s an image
Region_ME_12.0.65.1567.rgn.rar (1.6 MB)
and an EC
KD8G129A.zip (65.2 KB)
That’s it from me, good luck.

Thank you for your reply . I’ve never tried “pinmod” before.
Can you please analyze this original SPI image?
eh5vf-old.zip (6.2 MB)
Your image reports “Initialized”…
In a successful “cleaned” image it should report “Configured”… as the image i linked.
So, you done it wrong…

The SPI image I provided is the original image, which I have not yet cleaned. Here is a clean image:

Pretty much like this to resume…
Over_n_Out
This is my system; recently, the NCP81215 chip failed, and the machine powered up but displayed a blank screen. I replaced the new NCP81215.
I have just swapped my ME region with a donor working dump and flashed it. The issue persists.
EDIT: I believe the ME hardware does not initialize the firmware.
“pinmod” is the only way to disable ME hardware, but I didn’t do it.
New clue: HDA_SDO is HIGH on the rising edge of PCH_PWR, but then drops back down.
Not seeing a relation with bios or ME fw corruption or even a cleaned one…
EDIT: There’s your issue…
Could you please move my post to the relevant section?
