Hi, I have InsydeH2O rev 5.0 BIOS (Acer Inc .; version: 2.02)
This is my laptop and BIOS.

I had a problem with the power key, it almost does not work. I wanted to replace the button by pressing on which my laptop will turn on, but the BIOS functionality is very truncated.
Please help with the addition to the BIOS (I need one function), or tell me another solution to the problem.

@Fastroof - Yes, I can unlock this BIOS menu, results here but he had flash programmer, we’ll have to see if we can get yours flashed without, otherwise you will need to order CH341A + SOIC8 test clip with programmer

However, I checked your possible BIOS setting options, and there is no power on by keyboard or other button.
So, only real solution for you here is to order a new replacement power button on ebay, or find a dead system for sale cheap, or a shell or front cover etc of this system, which includes the power button.
Ohh! Looks like power button is on keyboard for this model, so that’s easy, just buy replacement keyboard and you should be set
