Allow B0 stepping on Asus W621E Sage

Users of Asus C621 series owners need to apply 0653 microcode inside the bios. There are: 0657, 0656, 0655, 0654 but there is no 0653. This one is for first generation Xeon scalable processor series starting with 81xx, 61xx, 41xx, but this is not necessary for the second generation Xeon scalable 82xx, 62xx, 42xx processor users, according to:

I have a similar Asus WS C422 PRO/SE mainboard. This one has still good support, Asus included Resizable bar for them, but not for C621 series including Rog Dominus. The processor support page and bios download pages disappeared strangely for other C621 series mainboards, like ASUS Pro WS C621-64L Sage/10G.

@Airo,

are you still modding bios updates for the ASUS Sage C621 board? Asus just recently released 7008 bios update.

Thank You,

Working on it.

Thank You!

Testing now on my system.

You have a P-8136 for testing?

Yeah! I have a few systems, and have put my 3647 systems on the back burner as I’ve migrated to 4677 systems. 4189 was silly, don’t recommend getting 3rd gen. But 8480s are a blast. Might get my hands on a few 85*s in the near future too

Noticed all the links are gone for this board now that Zippyshare is defunct so,

Here’s a 6801 build for WS C621 Sage and P-8136/B1 stepping:

Thanks! let me know if you have any success with the 7008 version.

Any luck or updates with the 7008 version?

Hello . I’m having a BB error, hope someone can help me . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYtWEMxv574

Hello guys!

I have an Intel Xeon Silver 4215r 3.2ghz Fc-lga3647 that’s listed on the Asus website as compatible for this motherboard. I am getting the “System Memory Abnormal” error and B0 as code.

Of course I’ve tried ECC and non ECC memory and non work. Also flashing BIOS to latest version and some early versions listed as supporting my CPU.

Should I flash the bios listed bellow?

Also, @Cythisia the link isn’t working anymore, could you please get it up? Also would like to tip you if it works.

Thanks.

Here is 7008, working with P-8136,

Thx @Cythisia for your work! I can confirm that the 7008 BIOS version works on 8280 ES QQ87. (updated via ASUS USB BIOS FlashBack)
