What is often Intel microcode for the SKL-S releases…
Non-1151 I guess. Based on the uCodes I have, 406E3 has the same incremental releases as 506E3 so there is 5C SKL-S microcode. Now we need to find it.
@ plutomaniac
Yes, I was wrong. Another platform.
I thinks is DualCore Intel Core i7-6500U, 3100 MHz (31 x 100)… 406E3 CPUID
Hello, I recently built a Core i7 6700K system after giving my brother the IvyBridge-E system. I have a Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3 motherboard and it doesn’t let me flash the updated BIOS after modding it with the latest UBU. When I use Efiflash in DOS, it keeps saying ‘Invalid BIOS Image’. Is there a way to bypass this error at this stage. I tried to use AFUDOS but it doesn’t detect the flash chip.
@ rootuser123:
It probably has a signature check to prevent modding. Try flashing via the BIOS and not with efiflash. Also, Gigabyte usually leaves the flash descriptor unlocked on such systems so you may be able to use FPT instead. This is not an UBU problem though so open a new thread in case the problem persists and someone may be able to help you further.
@plutomaniac FPT works on my Gigabyte Z170 motherboard. The Qflash and Efiflash has a BIOS signature check similar to nVidia nvflash.
I thought, and decided. For platforms X99, will be implemented in a variety of EFI Intel LAN versions in UBU 1.43.
Edit:
Example: Update EFI Intel LAN for X99 platforms

Drvver bug report:
Intel SkyLake GOP 9.0.1013 is not detected properly
I had reported the same for 1019 in the past. Since 1020, the structure has remained the same. It’s safe to assume that anything at or below (<=) 1019 should be detected with the old version byte order.
Intel SkyLake GOP 9.0.1013.rar (26.1 KB)
I have moved your post into the correct thread.
By the way: Each post has a "Thanks" button. So there is no need for an extra post to say "Thank you!"
This is normal. Each version of the version number can have a mixture which is difficult to predict.
