Hello
Here is Intel SKL GOPDriver 9.0.1042 & VBIOS 9.0.1034
EDIT: The GOPDriver was not identified properly by Drvver v0.19.14
(EFI GOP Driver SkyLake - 9.0.???9)
EDIT2: plutomaniac, one step ahead of you this time
GOP1042_VBIOS1034.zip (71.5 KB)
@SoniX
Intel SkyLake GOP 9.0.1040
8086-0406 Intel Skylake VBIOS 9.0.1034
Note: You need to fix drvver again with the new pattern.
EDIT: Really? Really? This Pacman guy…
New GOP and DrvVer in UBU Update 4.
Thanx Pacman and plutomaniac!
Grab your popcorn and place your bets! Who will win the battle of titans? Pacman or Plutomaniac? Plutomaniac or Pacman?
To not make this completely off-topic, I have something (not that important) as well. Here is Broadcom 17.2.0/17.2.1.
Broadcom 17.2.0.rar (152 KB)
So,in update 4 …Intel SkyLake GOP is now 9.0.1042.
All the winners! All of champagne!
UBU Update 5 realese.
Many thanx.

Hi,
I will upgrade my home server (Z77+i3 3225) to latest Z170+i3 6100T.
The motherboard is “Asrock Z170M Extreme 4”, and its lastest BIOS is realy new : v1.40 1/20/2016
Even if this BIOS is new, all OROM/EFI inside it already have avaible updates …
Here is what’s inside v1.40 :
And here is what I have after updating EFI with UBU and OROM manualy with UEFITool.exe :
OROM Vbios stays at 1020, everything else is upgraded.
Do you think it is still “safe” to replace current OROM/EFI in such recent BIOS?
Thanks
This is absolutely normal. The mainboard manufacturers usually do not update the OROM/EFI modules, when they offer a new BIOS version.
The latest BIOS 2.50 dated 10/19/2015 for my ASRock Z97 Extreme6 still contains the very old Intel RAID ROM/EFI RaidDriver modules v13.0.0.2075.
Why do you think, that it would not be "safe" to update the standard OROM/EFI modules yourself (as long as you make sure, that the newer modules match your system)?

ok ok
One more question : as you can see I haven’t updated the OROM Vbios 1020 but the EFI yes.
Is it a problem?
I have downloaded the bios for the Z170 Extreme 4 (mine is Z170M Extreme 4) and it has a 1040 Vbios.
Do you think I could exctract 1040 Vbios and use it to replace my 1020?
Thanks again for your help.
Why should it be a problem? Depending on your BIOS settings regarding CSM your system will only use one of them (either the OROM or the EFI GopDriver). As long as you run your system with disabled CSM, you don’t have to care about the VGA ROM (VBIOS) module version.
@ propergol:
There is also a newer uCode, version 74 which probably fixes the recently announced SKL crash erratum. It should be available with UBU update 6. Also, the latest VBIOS is 9.0.1034 but unless you have CSM enabled, updating it is not beneficial in any way as it’s not used.
Regarding the microcode I am not sure, here is the stock bios :
and if I choose the most recent update (74), here is the new state after updating :
Is it correct or did I miss something (only 1 line vs 3 lines)?
Thanks
SoniX needs to verify that but to my knowledge that’s how UBU works. The number doesn’t matter as long as you have the correct one for the cpu you are using. The platform you are interested at is 36, the other 22 something else I suppose (QS cpu or similar). There shouldn’t be any issue but I would wait for SoniX to assure you.
I will wait for his confirmation and anyway my new mobo only come tomorrow and the needed DDR4 maybe one or 2 day later.
All right.
I have no information on the 06E0 and 06E1 processor platform 22, but I assume that these processors are Engineering Samples and is not available to users. Therefore, only updated mass 06E3 processor platform 36.

Hello
I found a strange Intel SKL VBIOS, i don’t Think it has been posted Before:
Build Number: 1037 PC 14.34 12/23/2015
The build is higher, but the date is older than 1034.
EDIT: I see now it says: SKL/KBL Mobile/Desktop
So it is for Kaby Lake aswell, interesting, first i have seen.
