I already updated everything all the OROMS, the VBIOS was the last one when the update came out so everything else worked.
Try to do the update again. Replace VBIOS to version 2158 and then 2170.
I think that the most likely failure was when flashing.
Thanks for the new version.
The start post has been customized as well.
Updated everything on my asrock z77 extreme4, very easy! Thanks for making this!
tried the tool on a H81M-A bios (ASUS). all went well in the modding but cannot flash it as the modded bios doesn’t pass the check (security verification failure on either bupdater or ez flash II) .
tried both with or without CPU microcode update.
On Asus motherboards can use UBF (USB BIOS Flashback).
On Asus motherboards can use UBF (USB BIOS Flashback).
UBF is available on selected motherboards… H81M-A is a really basic one.
I use afudos to by-pass security check on my AsRock. It should work on Asus boards as-well. You may flash with moded bios with afudos, try it first. In my case afudos concerned about it’s file size. So I followed below steps and succeeded.
1- Flash with the original bioas file using in-bios flash tool.
2- Use afudos with /O switch to backup the bios file named eg:backup.rom
3- Mod this backup.rom file
4- Flash bios with this file using afudos.
Hope it helps.
Quite possibly, but at your own risk
4* - afudos backup_mod.rom /gan
Afudos used to be the tool for Asus but now has been superseded by bupdater.

Thanks for another update.
Question on Point1, does this now make the MC update so the modules remain as-is?
Thanks for this update. everything work perfectly for me
Thanks for the update! Will this version "re-add" the empty module to a bios modded with with previous version, or do I have to re-mod from stock?
Thanks!
Hi Sonix,
Im really new to all this BIOS modding. Im contacting you cause I need help with the following.
I have an ASUS P8Z77 WS board that I just bought, supports SandyBridge processors D2 stepping, but my problem is that I have an ES (Engineering Sample) Core i7 2600K D1 stepping processor which is not supported by it.
Can you help me or edit the BIOS to insert the D1 stepping microcode for my ES processor in the P8Z77 WS?
I would really appreciate any help you can give me. My Sandy CPU works great, and I don´t want to spend more money to buy a newer Ivy CPU.
Thanks a lot!
