@ns_ripper
Thank you for the report. Reports like this justify why UBU+MEA work great together. Can you please attach the SPI/BIOS image that you used in UBU?
@plutomaniac
The bios is in my google drive → https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4dDWx…QmJ5VUM4VWJYYXM
p.s. plutomaniac, can you advice me what me-firmware is the latest and suitable for me?
For the moment I’m reading lots of stuf, so I can raise bclk and turbo ratio’s with xtu
But it’s a lot to read
@ ns_ripper
Thank you, added the firmware to the repository and database. The latest for you is 8.1.65.1586 1.5MB as seen at the ME thread.
@SoniX I keep getting this error when I try to update the EFI IRST SATA module when using UBU. Is there a fix for this?

Hello
I found this, if there is any interest, Intel RST 15.2.1.2771 Legacy OROM & RaidDriver.
15.2.1.2771.zip (148 KB)
I have an Asus Rampage V Extreme. Bios v3402. Aptio 5 platform
dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA2011/Rampage_V_Extreme/RAMPAGE-V-EXTREME-ASUS-3402.zip
Updating latest Microcode for CPU Broadwell-E (LGA2011v3) & CPU Haswell-E (LGA2011v3) has never worked for my Asus Rampage V Extreme. Aptio 5 platform in capsule nor bios form
I update latest mircocodes in capsule format, and use bios flashback. motherboard goes into a continuous re-booting loop
Validating the capsule file in the bios using EZFLASH utility, said the file is damaged. An unmodified capsule file passes valid/integrity check.
Can you download the bios file from ASUS, and modify it yourself with latest microcode (39 & 1F) for CPU Broadwell-E (LGA2011v3) & CPU Haswell-E (LGA2011v3) in capsule format ?
Can you send me a few different versions to try. I will use EZFLASH utility in bios to let me know if the capsule file passes, before using bios flashback
EDIT: EZFLASH utility v02.01 in bios only shows .cap bios files in directories now. capsule format bios’ only I guess
Thanks,
Biozzz

Asus flashing only UBF (USB BIOS Flashack) -> [Guide] How to flash a modded ASUS/ASRock/Gigabyte AMI UEFI BIOS
Fixed.
Hi Fernando,
Thanks for the great write up and great tool. I would like to thank the developers to make this possible. I modded my Asus Laptop X53E BIOS with Sandy Bridge CPU updating all except VBIOS. After exiting the program, I was given 2 choices save as BIOS.BIN of Mod.BIOS.Bin. NO save as Asus BIOS flash back. My question is do I have to use ASUS BIOS Renamer utiltity to rename BIOS.BIN to original K53EAS.221 or simply rename it with Windows before I flash using Asus easy flash build into laptop during boot? Appreciate your advice.
EDIT by Fernando: Post moved and title renamed
@sofatiger51 :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
Since you posted your request into the wrong thread (which is reserved just for the UBU Guide and the UBU Update announcements), I have moved it into this UBU Discussion thread.
The UBU tool has been primarily designed for Desktop systems and not for Mobile ones.
I doubt, that your ASUS laptop supports the USB Flashback feature.
You can simply rename the BIOS file from within the Windows Explorer, but I am not sure, whether your laptop will accept the flashing of any modded BIOS.
Good luck!

When trying to modify UEFI of an ASUS Z170 Deluxe, an Asrock Z170 Extreme7+ and a Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 i got while Microcode-Update a message that FIT has to be checked.
How do I do it?
could you integrate that:
[Guide] How to get full NVMe support for Intel Chipset systems from 6-Series up
in UBU-Tool?
Unfortunately not, because there is no way to determine the required volume correctly.
According to my knowledge the NVMeExpressDxE.ffs module has to be inserted into the exact same volume, where the CSMCORE module is located.
This is only valid for AMI Aptio IV BIOSes, because the Aptio V ones don’t have a CSMCORE module, but usually the AMI Aptio V BIOSes natively do fully support NVMe and don’t need any additional NVMe BIOS module.
To automatically insert the correct drivers that need to know exactly where volume number is CSMCORE file.
But in different BIOS volume number is different.
