@ SoniX:
Thanks for the new UBU test version PR10.
@ all:
Meanwhile I have updated the start post of this thread as well.
Ok, the thread opener has been customized by me.
Thanks for the new UBU version.
SoniX,
thanks for updates…
Btw,
if possible to get CPU Microcode 17 for Haswell ,but not .ffs file (i.e…bin file)
Thanks.
Nice work Sonix. thanks for updates
Yea…thanks.
Thanks, SoniX!
The start post has already been updated.
Fernando,
as the batch file is now called UBU.BAT you may want to edit the first post as it still refers to the old name.
SoniX,
the syntax of the CPU Microcode Update is a bit unclear…
"Do you have the latest versions of the CPU microcode. Update is required."
does it mean:
"You already have the last version of the CPU microcode. No update required."
or, maybe:
"Please check if CPU microcode is the latest. Update might be required."
Thanks for the info. You are right - I have changed the related command within the start post.
As soon as SoniX has published the first non-test UBU version, I will present new screenshots, which show how the tool works.
Thanks for the comment. Think, this option is more correct:
"You already have the last version of the CPU microcode. No update required."
Any chance this will soon support the modding of AMD SATA EFIs and oROMs?
Sorry, will not support for AMD.

I don’t understand, what you mean. You obviously have tried to attach a JPG file, but it is invisible, because you didn’t upload it correctly.
Whom do you mean?
So… i try to use the UBU TEST 14… i use the same version BIOS that i mod with UBU PR8 and everything was ok… in ubu 14 i have the message → please check the attached file… (3. LAN MENU)
@ ALL
If you see the message "unknown GUID" or "unknown version", please attach BIOS file

OK SoniX… i have a question… yesterday i spoke with Prema Modder (http://biosmods.wordpress.com/w230st/ - there is my conversation with him). He told me that if i use your tool probably i damage my notebook (Clevo W230ST)… for ex.:
"Everything is already up to date im my Mods and will be kept that way with every further update…Some of the tweaks I am doing to my Mods prevent even AMI Tools from working correctly with my BIOS…Also I like to know what is happening and prefer updating things manually by hand…on Clevos some modules need an additional header structure (aka RAID boot delay Problem) and the regular way to update CPU Microcode bricks some systems as they use additional filling bytes and a specific order…"
"My BIOS Mod is already a month old my friend…there will always be a next version, but not every day.
They can only contain what is available upon their release.
Those module updates are the smallest part of these Mods, they contain more important changes and a ton of additional features…
Also for example Clevo iGPU vBIOS are custom. If we would just insert 2178 without modding it we would get not so funny results like brightness control issues, external monitor resolution detection problems etc. There is no one button solution to make a good BIOS, it takes often months of trial and error…"
If it’s true… why other users on this forum use UBU and will be happy and haven’t issue. It’s incompatible with notebooks??
So… can you veryfing BIOS file before and after mod with yours UBU?? I want use yours tool but i’m afraid about brick my hardware What can i do??

This tool UBU was created only to motherboards. It is not recommended to use for notebooks.
Use ready-made BIOS-Mods from Prema.
