Hi All,
I just noticed the latest versions of UBU don’t work on 32 bit systems as it returns the “GenSec.exe is not a valid Win32 application” error.
People who experience this issue and want to use recent UBU versions on a x86 Windows can replace the bundled 64 bit version of the following files:
- GenSec.exe
- GenFfs.exe
- LzmaCompress.exe
with the 32 bit versions which can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/p/tianocore/edk2-…256d9c/#diff-16
Cheers

I try again automated update OROM LAN Intel.
@Exciter
I see at least 8 releases between 0026 and 0040. You should try to update in that order until one succeeds, try 0040 again, repeat the process from last success if 0040 fails.
@Jini
The files are already 32 bit, should work in any Windows system. Maybe it was a download error. The files Sonix uses are updated with latest patches and downloaded from here. It would be unwise to use older versions that could be bugged. Try again with latest files.
Sorry if this has been asked before, does the AMD GOP have a mobile and desktop version or are they the same?
AMD GOP compatible with the desktop, mobile and discrete graphics cards
GOP 1031 was?
@ plutomaniac
GOP 1031 we already have. I thought that if the new OROM VBIOS, then may have a new GOP.
@ all
Who knows how to see the files and folders on this FTP?
I didn’t check today’s SKL SPI for such stuff. I will and let you know in a bit.
Also, that ftp is locked. Permission Denied. Nothing can be done.
Locked as well. It has been that way for a month or so.
Anyway, checked the SKL SPI. I can’t even find 1028 at today’s. You should ask ex58 for the source image.
I looked at the new bios ASRock (v1.20 first release) for H170 Performance/D3 and B150 Gaming K4/D3
Nothing new!
2 Intel OROM VBIOS and EFI GOP Driver
OROM VBIOS SkyLake - 1020
EFI GOP Driver SkyLake - 9.0.1025
I am reporting about different result of updating Intel LAN EFI UNDI.
My P9X79 Deluxe has 82579V on board and i350-T2 (two ports) in PCI-E slot. (also have Realtek 8111E on board but disable)
I updated LAN OROM PEX and EFI UNDI of ASUS P9X79 Deluxe v4801 BIOS by UBU v 1.33.
I can have these three options and had two different results.
1 - Update omly Intel LAN 82579/i217/i218/i219 (misspelled )
- OROM BootAgent CL 0.1.04
- EFI Gigabit UNDI v0.0.07[/b]
2 - Update only Intel 210/i211/i350
- OROM BootAgent GE 1.5.72
- EFI PRO/1000 UNDI v6.9.07
3 - Update for all 1 GbE LAN
- OROM BootAgent GE 1.5.62
- EFI PRO/1000 UNDI 6.6.04
As for 1 and 3, No additional menus appear for any LAN chips in the UEFI (BIOS) configuration.
As for 2, three menus appeared in the UEFI configuration for all the three LAN chips.
I expected at least 82579V menu would appear for 1, just two i350 menus for 2 and all the three menus for 3 but all the three results were different from my expectations.
@inuchanbt
It is very strange. OROM also do not work?
Please attach 2 files, an original and mod BIOSes.
Edit:
Why you in the picture EFI LAN Intel PRO/1000 Version 6.1.16? If you select 2nd menu item, the version should be 6.9.07.
@lordkag
already do not understand anything. Do you have thoughts on this?
If you believe your research here, version 6.6.04 should see all three cards. But as I understand, this is not happening.
@SoniX
Thanks for pointed out. I have no idea how to upload more than 2 MB files.
I reboot to check if OROM works but now I wonder these things happen by some reason:
A) 1 or 3 conflicts with UEFI driver v6.1.16 on the i350-T2 and both of them are interrupted by each other.
B) 2 is interrupted by UEFI driver v6.1.16 on the i350-T2 and the UEFI driver on the i350-T2 can be activated for the three chips.
@ inuchanbt
Files do not need to be attached. The assembly is correct.
Most likely affect UEFI drivers i350 cards. But I wonder what he would say lordkag.
@SoniX
I checked the UEFI driver versions and found 82579V and i350 for 1st port are v6.1.16, and i350 for 2nd port is v6.9.07.
The same happens to OROM.
I also tried again to rewrite with option 1 and 3. I got the same result to my report that no menu appeared for all the LAN chips.
My supposition seems to be correct.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I should consider existence of UEFI firmware on the i350-t2 earlier.
