Bios Unlock Request - Clevo N960TF

Bump

OK thanks for your report , i understand the image file attached to #9 post wont work as intended.
now we’ll try another method. i found this(below) in setuputility module and i think we can directly make hidden menus show up easily.
0x17EAEB One Of: Setup Menu Insyde Full Show, VarStoreInfo (VarOffset/VarName): 0x133, VarStore: 0x1234, QuestionId: 0xD1D, Size: 1, Min: 0x0, Max 0x1, Step: 0x0 {05 91 61 16 62 16 1D 0D 34 12 33 01 10 10 00 01 00}
0x17EAFC One Of Option: Hide, Value (8 bit): 0x0 (default MFG) {09 07 63 16 20 00 00}
0x17EB03 One Of Option: Show, Value (8 bit): 0x1 (default) {09 07 64 16 10 00 01}
now please find some usb drive and put grub efishell into it , boot to grub and enter “setup_var 0x133 0x1” (without quote) then press enter and reboot.now check your BIOS to see if hidden settings show up.

It worked
After reboot I had the hidden menus :slight_smile:

glad to know this method works. good job!

@Blossomcrown - Thanks for jumping in here to help! I was gone for a few weeks, and then of course everything I was in the middle of helping with was long past buried
My inbox is still a scary place

@haudegen1993 - Sorry I lost this thread for so long, but glad to see you found the help you needed via easier route

Hi i have an ASUS X412F with a password protected BIOS on a 25B127DSIG … i’m worried about re-flashing the same eeprom with the new BIOS because the TL866II+ is not recognizing the exacly eeprom but some 127 and some 128… can i replace the eeprom with another 3.3v (not the 127mbit because i don’t have any of these as a replacement) for example the W25q128fv ? i have found on the web some bios dumps for this ASUS that fits on a 128… 16777xxx bytes…
