[BIOS UNLOCK REQUEST] Clevo P970EF (PCSpecialist Defiance V) H2O BIOS Hidden settings unlock

@Lost_N_BIOS any update? Any tool recommended for checking the limits? Also, to flash I will require a hardware programmer or not? Thank you.

What tool? Thank you.

@Brask - Sorry for late reply, always buried over here!! Flash programmer or not, I am not sure, you will need to google your GFX card model (or Turing) and vBIOS and see if mod BIOS flash is possible
What did you dump that with, it’s not proper sized vBIOS? Although, I see this often with Nvida, something must not let GPU-z dump all the chip usually?

This works on your vBIOS, and TDP, thermal controls etc all populate properly - http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/…-thread.806161/

You may or may not need programmer, due to this, but I would get one and make a full backup first, before doing anything. Also, make a backup with this, and see if it’s standard/proper size (1024kb)

@Lost_N_BIOS

Hello, new BIOS, can you please provide me with a guide on how to unlock it on this one? Thank you.

Thanks Lost_N_BIOS and zr1971jp! Followed the H20UVE steps and was able to reveal hidden options on my Clevo P960RF InsydeH20 bios. :slight_smile:

Update: - so, i can change various settings like ac/dc loadline, imon etc. but it seems i can’t change memory settings when i enable custom profile, something coded wrong in memory custom profile perhaps? On reboot pc screen stays blank, and then it reboots but self-reverts to default bios settings. Re-entering bios OC settings it shows it did not take my changes to uncore voltage and memory multiplier (tried 11 instead of 10). I also can’t set ME FW re-flash to enabled (it keeps toggling back to disabled on boot).

attaching original bios, modded bios (just has show all options set), fd and 2 pics. The first is of my uncore page where the offset units are shown as negative numbers whilst there’s a separate property for prefix (+/-) and the 2nd pic is when i re-enter OC menu for memory, it shows: question value mismatch with option value, memory voltage mismatch value is 0.

any ideas?

edit2: i have my a recent bios flash package from my manufacturer. i see they have some ME flash scripts included, but this specific package only updates bios not ME. Wondering if theres anything in there that could be modified to also change the ME? https://www.mediafire.com/file/87rrya5bo…update.zip/file . Meanwhile i’ve ordered an spi programmer as it may come in handy if i mess something up whilst poking around.
