I did not want to order uh anything that is already too stressful again

is this right?
You donāt have to have it, itās only best to get if you want me to unlock your BIOS and move around menus, just in case something goes wrong.
For the settings you mentioned however, they can be enabled or disabled in place, without making BIOS menu changes, all done with just AMIBCP.
And if that doesnāt make the changes as you desired, I can make the change directly in all areas of BIOS at once (Setup, NVRAM, AMITSE/SetupData), so it would be 100% set the way you wanted
I can make the settings change edits for you without concerns, no worry about bricked BIOS with those kinds of edits (only the moving around of menus, since what you want is not normal menu and not inside setup area of BIOS)
Yes, that is a flash programmer, but you also need either SOIC8 test clip with cable too (if BIOS soldered to board), or U Type Flat IC extractor if BIOS is in a socket

There is also kits like this, then you would be covered for any/all future boards BIOS too (But, you still need above linked Flat IC Extractor for socketed BIOS)

if something should go wrong I can then bring back with flashback or not? otherwise it is sufficient first if you only make the settings I would like if that would go a higher multi ā¦ so 31 if that were possible
Not always, that is why itās always best to have flash programmer in hand, and confirmed OK/valid backup made before doing any risky edits. Even a stock BIOS update can fail in such a way Flashback may not work I think, these tools are so cheap everyone should have a set anyway
But, itās always up to you, if you want to take risks without being sure you can recover, and rely on flashback would always work, we can do edits anyway then you test etc. And it may be OK, I was never saying edit test WILL brick BIOS, only saying maybe it could while we figure out, so trying to watch out for you best I could
Higher multiplier? What are you talking about there? I think, didnāt check, but thought all settings you wanted changed were enable/disable type settings.
Are you ready? I have everything now
@wirkstoff - Iāve had this request on many models BIOS recently, and several users has programmers already, so I went ahead to do the edit so they could test, but ran into an issue and as of now am unable to solve it.
So, for now I cannot re-link or replace any already visible or hidden made visible menu with a link to the IntelRCSetup (and I still do not know how to make that one visible)
Very sorry, I thought it could do it without issues, but never attempted the actual edit until recently and when I did I found that due to the IntelRCSetup being outside of setup and in itās own module (Platform in this case)
I am unable to do the re-linking in AMITSE/Setupdata due to that module has itās own FormIDās and they do not work when replacing IDās from the setup module like I normally do for such an edit.
We can try general enable via AMIBCP like access level edits, but I think those have already been tested by many that want this. But if you want to test it let me know and Iāll make you two BIOS to try.
*Edit - Actually, here is those two tests, flash by USB Flashback only (this is stock edited BIOS, do not FPT). I assume both will fail to show IntelRCSetup, but maybe youāll get lucky and just no one tried this method yet while we all assumed it wouldnāt work

yes give me the two times Iāll test it
the other lock regions have been activated or activated?
@wirkstoff - test BIOS are linked above in post #86. This only two test BIOS edit is only for trying to make IntelRCSetup visible to you in BIOS (I assume will fail to show, with both BIOS)
I did not edit anything else, 100% stock BIOS, with two single byte changes one each (one byte) changed per BIOS aimed only at >> IntelRCSertup
ok the locks are also important to me
So I have just tested it and nothing has changed in the bios
OK, yes, I didnāt touch any locks, just stock BIOS as-is with edited bytes (one byte on each BIOS) to see iftelRCSetup show up with simple edit
Thanks for testing result, I assumed that would not work, itās too easy If I ever figure out method I will let you know.
I did read, during my research about trying to find out how to relink to forms outside setup module, that on some boards, if you remove all the microcodes that IntelRCSetup section shows up
But, I was not able to remember what chipset that was, some systems wont boot without microcode. If you can recover (ie have programmer), I can make you BIOS without microcode for your CPU and then you test
But, if that works, itās not ideal either, then youād have poor performance and issues/bugs due to no microcode. Any setting you want to change can be changed directly with AMIBCP in that Intel RC Setup section, so if there is something specicifc you want to enable or disable, or change default value, you can do that way and then reflash.
yes, try one without microcode Iāll test it again
@wirkstoff - Sorry I missed your comment until now! Can you recover if BIOS wont boot?
I mean, without microcode, even USB Flashback might fail to work, do you have a flash programmer so you could recover if need be?
yea i have it
can you please make me a bios without cpu microcode
can you this bios signum capsule for flashing?
