Dell 435MT

Hello i need some one to help me create or create for me a bios update for this computer which will update ICH10R to the latest version so i can support larger drives in a RAID configuration.

Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

As first step you should give us access to your latest mainboard BIOS file. You can either attach it (as .rar or .zip file) to your next post or give us a direct download link.
Which version has your currently used Intel RAID ROM module (resp. the Intel RST RAID Utility)?

Fernando

Here is the information that is requested.

Once agian thank you for the help

Intel RST ROM 8.9.0.1023

881D1D41.zip (504 KB)

Thanks for the link.
Your Dell BIOS is a non-UEFI AMI one, which can easily be modded by using the MMTool 3.26.
This is what you should do:
1. Rename the BIOS to 881D1D41.ROM.
2. Open and modify it by using the MMTool 3.26 according to >this< guide.
3. If you want a support of >2 TB sized RAID volumes, you need to update the Intel RAID ROM to v10.5.x.xxxx or higher. v10.5.1.1070 would be fine.
4. Don’t forget to rename the BIOS file to the original before you flash it.

Good luck!

Well i follow the directions and now i get 5 quick beeps and black screen how to i recover.

Can’t you reflash the original BIOS?
By the way: What exactly have you done?
