Hi
The MCE output is missing again in 1.80.b1
Have checked Python and all is up to date?
Edit: NVM I used the old patch and it seems to work, cheers.

A post was merged into an existing topic: MC Extractor: Intel, AMD, VIA & Freescale Microcode Extraction Tool Discussion
What you did exactly?
Used latest download and patched with
Latest my edition UBU_1_79_alt. It has any errors.
Can someone to mod my bios with UBU;
MSI Mag B550 Tomahawk [bios 7C91vAH or 7C91vAI1(Beta version)]
Why cant you… you’ve been around in this forum for a while, surely you know the UBU tool and the mb has Bios Flash Back.
Because I can’ t update the AMD cpu microcode in no way.
@kgbab
To be able to help you, whe need more information about what you have done and what happened.
Please post the related UBU screenshots of the task 5 (“CPU MicroCode”).
Hello all
With the latest version of UBU (1.80_b1), I can’t update the microcode (with both options), and I get an error message saying the file can’t be opened
And when I try to close UBU (exit by renaming the file), I get an error too.
If anyone has any ideas
Thanks
EDIT : it’s good, in fact, 1 microcode in the directory, and the mcupdate file didn’t match
Is the latest MCE.exe file this one ?
Thanks
Sir…the latest, as you may know very well, is on Pluto GIT
These errors occur when there’s a discrepancy on the MCUPDATE.txt and the real mcode file existence in the correct folder/platform, of your UBU copy.
Every UBU user, by now, knows that a manual maintenance has to be made to keep all files and db’s at date.
Every UBU release shared on this forum is only updated at the same data of publish.
Hi,
Yes that was it, see the edit
And the SoniX file doesn’t change the “EFI Intel Gigabit Driver” (though there’s an extra Intel Pro 1000)
No problem with the WindR file
Does anyone have an idea of the problem ?
Thanks
What problem? What is or who is WindR???
Assuming that changes in recent releases of Intel EFI / oPROM modules, may lead @SoniX to these recommendations, preventing corruption in bios mods files, using UBU and these modules manipulation.
Exchange them @your own risk with UEFI tool/MMtool.
The problem? The modification is not made as indicated in the post above.
We’ve been upgrading this module to X299 for 7 or 8 years and never had a problem.
Not recommended for recent platforms (if that is the case) does not mean not recommended for all platforms
Besides, I’m using the BIOS where this module is modified.
WindR is a forum member who modified the UBU file when SoniX wasn’t available (for it to work)
That’s not what you see there for sure, neither reference to old or recent, any other doubts ask the developer or ask for feedback to the user with a personalized version of UBU.
And by the way, its a recommendation, no one is telling what to do and do not.
Regards.
Yes, if @SoniX can provide an explanation
This recommendation has been displayed for about a year, even though we’ve been upgrading this module for 7 or 8 years without any problems.
