[Discussion] UBU Tool related Questions/Reports/Suggestions

@aGeoM

Oops! Sorry, I did not pay attention to the build 105 -> 135.

@ALL

People who have 32MB BIOSes and have EFI LAN Intel versions higher than 6.6.04, please post links.
I need to configure file replacement correctly.
Thank.

@SoniX :
I just have tested the UBU tool v1.78.0_b4. Result: The BIOS update worked flawlessly (not yet flashed). That is a big success!
Here is the final Picture:

UBU_v1.78.0_b4 Success.png

goodwork, with this last ubu microcode amd zen 2 can update microcode, now i awnt find a guide to update bios from my tuf x570 gaming plus

@SoniX :
Flashing of the modded BIOS by using the Flashrom tool was fine as well.
From my side you can publish the updated UBU tool v1.78.x for everyone.

@Fernando

Thank you :slight_smile:
A bit later.

@Fernando

A Flashrom tutorial showing your methodology for the more “adventurist types”?
ie. internal vs external methods

@hancor :
Interested UBU users can find my short guide about how to use the tool named Flashrom >here< within the chapter “Guide for ASRock Mainboards”, but it will work with other mainboards as well.
Once you have created the bootable DOS USB Flash Drive, the flashing procedure is very simple.

I think these are new (?):

EFI Intel VROC with VMD 7.5.0.1030
RaidOrom 7.0.0.2008
sSataOrom 7.0.0.2008

files.rar (148 KB)

@plutomaniac

Yeah, the new version. Just why 3 files?
VROC with VMD consists of two files.

Ah sorry, I thought the 2nd efi was junk before. I haven’t been looking for BIOS modules since 2016 so I’m out of the loop.

Extracted.rar (188 KB)

@plutomaniac

Now everything is correct.

If it’s not difficult, then discard this BIOS in the PM, I will look at the EFI files. And then it’s strange - the OROM is present, but the EFI is not.

Thank. :))

Hello

Thanks to @plutomaniac for the files
I tried to update EFI Intel VROC with VMD with the new version (7.5.0.1030), but it’s still the old version (6.2.0.1034)

An idea ?

Thanks
