EDIT by Fernando: I have put the details into a spoiler (to save space).

@ Konrad12:
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

If you want help, you should just post the HardwareIDs of your on-board Intel SATA Controller.
You can check it by running the Device Manager of any Wiondows OS, doing a right click onto the related Controller and choosing the options “Properties” > “Details” > “Property” > “HardwareIDs”.

Regards
Dieter (alias Fernando)

I have Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS.

Can you check the Intel Chipset model of your notebook and the SATA mode the system drive is riunning?

I found it:

You obviously are not able to give me the only informations, which I need to be able to help you:
1. Exact Chipset model of your notebook
2. SATA mode of your system drive.
I am neither interested in a hardware details of your notebook nor I have the time to read all them.

  1. Chipset ID1604
    2. Intel(R) 9 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller.

Is anyone here?

Obviously not.
I am currently travelling and have just my cell phone with me.

I 'll wait.

This Chipset ID is unknown for me.

You need the exact DeviceID (DEV_XXXX) of the Controller for a safe driver integration according to my guide.

  1. Broadwell-U?
    2.
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9C83&SUBSYS_398717AA&REV_03
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9C83&SUBSYS_398717AA
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9C83&CC_010601
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9C83&CC_0106

Ok, then integrate just the support of the Intel SATA AHCI Controller with your specific DeviceID into the XP SP3 image according to my guide (=start post of this thread).

Hi, @Fernando
First of all thanks for great effort to this thread.

My ISO is Windows XP Professional x64 Edition with SP2 - VL (English)
File Name en_win_xp_pro_x64_with_sp2_vl_x13-41611.iso

My current SATA AHCI Controller is Intel(R) 6th Generation Core Processor Family Platform IO SATA AHCI Controller

VEN_8086&DEV_9D03

My current operating system UEFI Windows 8.1 x64, GPT HDD

I have prepared an nLite installation media with
b)Universal 64bit Intel MSM textmode driver v8.9.8.1005 mod+signed by Fernando

I have CSM enabled in my bios, AHCI Enabled (by defuault, can’t set other than AHCI)

Than I have booted from my CD, I have not pressed F6, windows started copying(or checking) files, after completed, BSOD appeared, it says sth about turn off ACPI, press F7 etc.
I have pressed F7 on press F6 to install from floppy drive screen, then different screen appeared:
- ACPI Multiprocessor x64,
- ACPIUniprocessor x64,
- Other

So, there is no Standard PC option. When I choose multiprocessor or uniprocessor it does not matter, I get an blue screen error about ACPI thing.
When I choose Other option, it asks for driver on floppy drive (A:).

How I can fix this problem?

@Oguz :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
Have you already tried to press F5 while prompted to press F6?
By the way: Why did you integrate an Intel MSM driver v8.9.x.xxxx instead of the much better Intel RST driver v11.2.0.1006?
Regards
Dieter (alias Fernando)

Thanks for quick answer.

F5 did same function as F7.

Why I integrated old driver: I’m just confused and choosed it for better compability. I will try newer one.
Edit: I can’t decide what to choose

I’m planning to format my HDD and make 1 or 2 partition.

As my current partition setup is GPT im planning to format it (with Windows 7 DVD)

Should I just integrate driver for my DEV_XXXX or all drivers?
And Is integrating INF Update (PnP) necessary?

  1. If you want to integrate the Intel RST driver v11.2.0.1006, you have to choose the modded and not the WHQL variant.
    2. You should only integrate the support of the specific Intel SATA AHCI Controller, which is working within your system.
    3. You don’t have to integrate any PnP driver.

Damn, just figured I’m using WHQL

Hi Fernando,
Tried all solution to install WinXP-32 -All my tests ended with a STOP: 0x0000007B bluescreen.
- PC config: ASUS Z97-WS
- SATA-III interface: Intel(R) 9 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller 8C82
* PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C82&SUBSYS_85341043&REV_00
- DVD-ROM connected to ASmedia SATA-III interface

BIOS setup made:
- FastBoot = disabled
- CSM = enabled (can’t disable due VideoCard compatibility)
- Missing menu “Dynamic Storage Acceelerated” !!!
- Missing menu ASmedia SATA 3 Mode - mode can’t be changed !!!
- Intel SATA mode = AHCI

Tried original WinXP SP3 VL ver.5.1.2600.5512 with your drivers:
- Universal 32bit Intel RST AHCI+RAID driver v11.2.0.1006 mod+signed by Fernando.rar

Tested with external USB 2.0 DVD-ROM same result, blue screen with error 0x0000007B.
You got good result with installation on Asrock Z97. < link here>
Can you suggest something for my motherboard? Thank you for any help.

@crackintosh :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

Since this is the typical “wrong driver BSOD”, I am pretty sure, that you have either done a mistake while trying to integrate the support of your “Intel(R) 9 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller” (DeviceID: DEV_8C82) or used a Windows XP image as source, which was not “clean” (untouched).
My advice:
1. Use an original XP SP3 (= untouched original MS version) as source.
2. Integrate just the Intel SATA AHCI Controller DEV_8C82 support according my guide.
3. Make sure, that the target drive for the OS istallation is connected with one of the Intel SATA3 ports running in AHCI mode.
