I think I got it. Instead of craming / exchanging everything in the unpacked .bin file,
I just open and edit / change the whole “.cap” file and then save it as .cap.
Will this work like this or will I run into issues doing it that way?
Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and new to bios modding. I have a MONSTER Tulpar T7 V20.8 laptop which is TONGFANG GM7AR0R. It has 12700H and 4060
I wanted to enable undervolting and memory overclocking or at least disable SPD Write protection on this laptop, however setup_var method doesnt work as RU.efi etc gives me 0x000008 writing protection error. Laptop is not bios locked so I decided to mod BIOS and flash it instead.

Which was great until when I flash the bios file (.bin format) it flashes succesfully but says “Result data is identical” and nothing changes on the laptop. For information, I have ME 16.1.25.2027 and I am using CSME tools. 16.1.25.2049, I tried both FPTW64.exe and FPT.efi shell methods but still nothing changes. I checked HASH’s of files and they are different. Could you please tell me what should I do to properly flash the modded bios? Thank you.

i found firmware cannot be modified because of can’t set variable efi error: end num.8
if you chat setup_var_cv PchSetup 0x73D 0x1 0x0 for rewrite value, error occured.
it mean in pic.1
and it mean pic.2
i did it again for rz09-0484 but i cannot do it via this error.
EDIT : FOR LAPTOPS. PC is still available for some vendors.
EDIT2: But I didn’t try CH341A PROGRAMMER for rewrite modified BIOS
