@Fernando :
hey, thank you for your answer
where is my mistake?
as you can in the screenshot above, there is not the possibility with fat32 (more than one storage tested)

edit: i think the my OS is bigger than 4GB and that creates the problem with fat32

There must be a way to solve this problem.
Look >here<.

@SAGA :
Yes, there is not much space within the "DXE Driver Volume" of your specific mainboard BIOS.
Nevertheless it is possible to get full NVMe support with your system.
The easiest and safest method is to do it with the MMTool v4.50 and to insert the much smaller sized NVMe module named "NvmExpressDxe_Small" by using the "Insert Compressed" option.
This is the result you will get:

Good luck!

Thanks crack!!

Hello. Im trying to update my asus m5a97 r2 MB with updated bios file, in buildin ez flash 2 utility. Error I receive while loading file is - security verification failed. Size of both and new bios files are the same. Any hints? It can be updated only with some 3rd party tool, or…?
thank you

hello, When I try to install the new BIOS version, I get a very old version alert and I think it does not install. Then I press Enter and Q: exit.

Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!
This is the thread about how to get full NVMe support and not about how to get a modded BIOS properly flashed into the BIOS chip of a specific mainboard. If you have a problem to get your modded BIOS flashed, you should read the start post of >this< thread and - if this should not solve you specific BIOS flashing problem - post your request there.

@SAGA :
The above statement is valid for you as well.

@Fernando
i found a smaller version of Windows 10 and install it in FAT32
Now it works!! Thank you very much for your help, i will spent a few euros

Sorry for posting to wrong thread. To share my experience:
I have used NvmExpressDxe_4 UEFI module for my asus M5A97 R2 MB. Modded bios worked well and now I can boot from my new samsung 970 evo plus system drive :slight_smile: Thank you very much :slight_smile:
Short note regarding updating: At the very beginning of thread about bios updating I found information which worked for me - bios flashback. After I used it, I had new patched bios inside :slight_smile: Sorry again, I may search more, I was very impatient.

@jarekza :
Thanks for your feedback!
It is fine, that you got the modded BIOS successfully flashed and now can enjoy the performance of your NVMe SSD.

can you mod. z77-up7 ??

Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!

Yes, I would be able to do it, but I won’t do it - for nobody.
Why should I have spent several weeks of my free time writing the guide, taking/inserting the screenshots and uploading/linking the tools/modules, if I was willing to do the BIOS modification finally myself for everyone (note: this thread has until now more than 1,6 millions of views!)? And what happens, when the mainboard manufacturer releases a few weeks later a BIOS update? Who will do the requested NVMe module insertion then?

My advice: If you want full NVMe support for your system, do the BIOS modification yourself according to my guide. This work is very easy and not risky at all as long as you don’t try to flash the modded BIOS.
If you are unsure regarding your BIOS modding result, attach the original and your modded BIOS as *.ZIP or *.RAR archive. Then someone among our experts will check it and give the ok or not for the flashing procedure.

Good luck!

yes you are right i did it i need just a check:
motherboard : Gigabyte z77-up7
Bios Release: F5
modded one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bsppb730gruixsq/z77xup7.f5?dl=0
original: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/B…z77x-up7_f5.exe

@waleed.dawa :
Your modded BIOS seems to be fine.
Good luck with the flashing of it! If you should be unsure how to do it, look into the start post of >this< thread.

Hello everyone,
I have a ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS, and have the latest BIOS 5802, but because I have the latest BIOS version, my custom BIOS won’t install. Does anyone have a good work around?

Hi all)
I modded bios file for my ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3, install on samsung evoplus a windows 10, all good except one: aften i shutdown PC, all turn off (windows, monitor) but coolers and videocard still worlking (videocard coolers are working and rgb light is on). That happen not every time: sometimes shutdown do like it should. If coolers dont shutdown i press a power button like 3-5 secs and PC turn off. After that, when i start my pc windows dont tell that the last shutdown was incorrect. Any suggestions what it can be? Thanks)
