woah, you are awesome!!
Because I always imagined they never really keep their drivers as updated as some of the third party sites and I have come here before asking drivers for a different computer so I knew you guys were pros at this.
May god bless you Dieter! Thanks everyone and have a great new year!
Greetings all,
So I read through the first post and Iām a little confused about the versioning. I have an msi x99 raider board. It has some issues when I update the BIOS to the latest version, so Iām wondering if updating the Intel ME, either before or after, would help.
I see entries in device manager for C600/C610/C200 as well as X99ā¦I see on the first post that there are many options and I am not sure exactly what version I need.
I ran the MEInfoWin64.exe and these were the results:

Also, and Iām sorry if this isnāt the right place for it, I have a Xeon E5-1620v4 processorā¦ how do I confirm I have the latest microcode update? Is there post on the forum here explaining how to update the microcode?
Thanks in advance for any of your help!
EDIT by Fernando: To save space I have put the MEInfo details into a āspoilerā and removed unneeded blank lines.
@nasch007 :
Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!
You can find the answers to both off-topic questions within the start post of >this< thread.
Happy New Year!
Dieter (alias Fernando)
Thank you for your reply.
That is a long post explaining how to use UBUā¦ I downloaded the program but want to make sure I know what Iām doing before proceeding. I went through it and found what I believe to be the latest microcode update for my cpu itās form 06-18-2019ā¦ but Iām not sure I understand the overall process. I ended up with a .bin file am I flashing that as the actual BIOS? I will read the start post again several times to make sure. Sorry for off topic.
Regarding my original on topic postā¦ any input on whatās the proper ME for me?
Thanks again!
@nasch007 :
According to the start post of this thread your in-use Intel ME Firmware v9.1.37.1002 is currently the latest for your mainboard. So there is nothing to do for you regarding this point.
Thank you, thatās what I feared. There a certain situation I run into with the BIOS when I upgrade itā¦ it is repeatable and demonstrable, but the company (MSI) seems to think itās my equipment. Even though a similar situation happened with the last mainboard I had (it was a refurbished and they determined it to be malfunctioning).
From the output of the meinfo command, there is no indication that the ME may be corrupted or malfunctioning, is there? Ergo, there is no point in me reflashing it or anything, is there?
Sorry if itās a stupid question Iām kinda grasping at straws here.
@nasch007 :
To find out, whether the IntelME Firmware is ok or not, I recommend to use the tool named MEManuf with the command suffix " -verbose".
Test passed. Thank you for the tip.
I will post in the BIOS forum because Iām not sure what exactly the issue is.
Thanks again!
Hi,
I have MSI H110M PRO-D which intel me should i update to secure my bios ? I have 11.8.50.3399 H listed in bios and looking at other manufacturers they made "CRITICAL" updates on intel me but msi doesnt care at all so which intel me version is the latest for my mobo?
@podkaracz :
Since plutomaniac is currently off-line, what about looking yourself into the start post of this thread?
Im looking at start post but have no idea which one to pick since many of them contain my mobo lets say
"For 100/200-series systems which run CSME Slim H D,A v11.0 - v11.8"
Could you please find one that matches mine best?
@podkaracz :
To find out the latest Intel ME Firmware, which matches your specific MSI mainboard, you should run the appropriate MEInfo tool and write down somewhere the size and the full version name of the currently in-use Intel ME Firmware.
I suspect, that the latest Intel ME Firmware for your system is named within the start post "Intel CSME 11.8 Consumer PCH-H D,A Firmware v11.8.70.3626", but you should verify it by checking the MEInfo details before you start flashing it.
I ran this tool and found out i had 11.8.50.3399 H installed and i flashed 11.8.70.3626 (S&H)(1.5Mo) from station drivers latest one
@podkaracz :
And did you get the Firmware properly flashed? You can check it by running the appropriate Intel MEManuf tool.
"Memanuf operation passed"
Thank you.
However, I have no idea where or how you got those files, but they are useless, I tried the latest 12.0.55.1521_CON_H_300.2.11.1021.bin as well as the 05.01.03.094_300.2.11.1022.bin, not only they are a completely wrong file size, but FIT cannot open any of them.
Guys quick question.
After flashing unlocked BIOS via FPTW I saw that there is no more ME device in device manager and there is also no TPM device.
After rewerting back to stock bios (via Acer/Insyde flashtool) there is sill no ME and TPM device.
ME Analyzer shows me that my stock bios got ME firmware inside (quite new).
What can be done to restore back ME on my laptop?
Iām using 9 gen CPU with MEI v12 and chipset is HM370 (consumer).
2 new firmware available (11.8.71.3630) on station-drivers: WARNING! DO NOT FLASH ANY OF THEM! this fu*** my bios
Gentlemen! Good afternoon! Please help! updated the software ""Intel Management Engine (ME) Firmware Version 11.8.71.3630 (S&H)(1.5Mo) and the computer stopped loading. Black screen and constant reboots! Resetting the bios does not help. What could be the problem? Motherboard - Gigabyte Z370 D3H
