I know that, I just meant why you sad it to me in liaison of not being interest in trying the "old" 12 series. But I get you now!
Of course those "stuck" to pre 13.x should use the modded ones or try the latest 12.x. For me they are as efficient or even faster, so no going back!
Unfortunately not WHQL.
Here is full 13.1.0.1039

@ elitethem and Pacman:
Thanks for giving us the link to the 32/64bit Intel RST(e) drivers v13.1.0.1039 dated 02/04/2014.
@ all:
Since these drivers are from the same development branch, but far older than the recently published Intel RST(e) drivers v13.1.0.1052 dated 04/01/2014, I will not add the download links to the start post of this thread.
Nevertheless I any feedback from users, who tried them, are much appreciated.
13.1.0.1052 is not WHQL either
Anyways i made two benchmarks.
You are right. I have corrected my last post.
Thanks for the benchmark comparison, which shows, that there is no performance difference between both v13.1.0.xxxx drivers.
@Fernando ,
I see a problem with the newest iRST v13.1.0.1052:
When installing the Drivers and Software Set i get this:
[[File:Intel RSTe Drivers & Software Set v13.1.0.1052_.PNG|none|auto]]
confirmed with this:
Then when unstalling the Software set application to keep only the 64 bit drivers i get this:
[[File:64bit Intel RSTe AHCI & RAID drivers v13.1.0.1052.PNG|none|auto]]
Why this version donwgrade ?
When installing manually the driver only from the Control panel i don’t get the expected v13.1.0.1052 version but the v13.0.3.1001 is installed !!
So, very strange…
Because the v13.1.0.1052 driver is not digitally signed by Microsoft (no WHQL stamp).
This is why the OS reinstalls the last WHQL certified driver after having uninstalled the complete RST(e) Drivers & Software package.
No, this happens always, when you try to install any not WHQL signed driver from within the Device Manager without forcing the installation by hitting the "Have Disk" button.
Fernando,
Thanks,
with the “Have Disk” button (‘Disque fournie’ en français) the installation is OK.
The driver V13.1.0.1052 works fine.
@ ex58 and saglamtimur:
Thanks for the info!

Update of the Start Post
Changelog:
Running original Intel RST(e) AHCI/RAID Drivers & Software Set v13.1.0.1058 with my Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3 Intel 5-series/3400 Chipset (P55) after updating Bios to F10a + Intel RAID ROM v13.1.0.2030 without any issues
Thanks for your report.
Yes, the original Intel RST(e) drivers from the v13 series do support 5-Series chipsets, but only in RAID mode.
Question: Did you test any other Intel RAID driver/OROM combo? If yes, which one?
