Enter the BIOS, set the Intel SATA Controller to "RAID", reboot and check the version of the Intel RAID Utility. If it should be v3.x.x.xxxx or v4.x.x.xxxx, you will need RSTe drivers.
Alternatively you should wait for help from a person, whome you trust.

My board uses the latest X99 chipset. Not sure if it’s the 8 or 9 series chipset.

Then how the RST(e) that would install into my X99 chipset(C600/C600+ series) works on the Intel series 8-9 as well?
I mean, I shouldn’t be using the RSTe that is design just for the C600/C600+x99 system?
I agree with you, Gigabyte has told me to use the RST(e) the 13.1.0.1058 version if I plan to enable RAID, even if these drivers are design for the Intel series 8-9
Simple reason: The Intel RST(e) driver v13.1.0.1058 may give your X99 system a better performance than the RSTe drivers v3.x.x.xxxx resp. v4.x.x.xxxx.

I’m using v13.2.4.1000 now. I’ll update my bios with UBU later. Will i have to change my IRST version later?

The included AHCI/RAID drivers are WHQL certified by Microsoft and usable with all Windows Operating Systems from Win7 up. Onlys Intel 8- and 9-Series Chipsets are natively fully supported by these drivers.

I’m using 12.9.4.1000 for my Z68 system as it is the latest for my chipset. It also says in the note that the Best matching Intel RAID ROM/EFI BIOS modules is v12.9.0.2006.
If I decide to insert an EFI BIOS module in my BIOS (it doesn’t have an EFI BIOS module by default), should I insert 12.9.0.2006 and then upgrade it to the latest EFI using the UBU tool or should I keep it at 12.9.0.2006?
