What version should the raid driver be, it is listed as 14.8.2.2397 and I expected it to be in the 15.x?
I didn’t know if you updated one of the 2 modules or it should be the above version?
Thanks.
I’m working now for updating both X99 Deluxe and Rampage V Edition 10 latest bioses.
Stay tuned.
Thanks fella, it’s been so long I had to go back to the guide from probably 2 years ago as I was looking to mod them into your bios. I saw 15 series to replace both those 14 series, 15.7 I think (had to take my daughter to her swimming lesson so this is guess work) and then I saw about replacing the EFI module, would that be the 5 series RSTe for x99?
I’m confused

@GoNz0
I’ve used 14.8.xxx.xxx option rom (efi/legacy) because is the last one which perfectly works on X99 systems. (I’ve also tried 15.1 which works fine but that is the only orom which works). 15.7 is suitable only for 100/200 chipsets like Fernando said before.
Good enough for me, thanks for the hard work
Annoyingly the settings backup still freezes the system when you try and restore (same firmware file), last time I buy Asus!
Rampage V Edition 10 1701 Modded Bios
-----------------------------------------------
What steps/method did you take to update/mod this bios ?
UBU only, manually with MMTool and UEFITool, or combined ?
Can you mod Rampage V Edition 10 1701 with new UEFI BIOS UBU v1.69u5 tools for us ?
Thanks,
biozzz
What has been added with the new UBU ?
I don’t think there could be any other useful orom newer than the ones already included in the previously modded bios file.
Hello,
I use Checksum Checker to see if modded bios are different with each new/update of UBU with same mod options
your current RAMPAGE-V-EDITION-10_1701_MOD is Checksum CRC32 is 484831D4
recent UBU & tools releases have given different bios file checksums with same mod options
would you redo 1701 for us, from clean bios to confirm/post any bios checksum change with UBU v1.69u5 & tools

I have been unsuccessful in modding 1701 properly myself
Thanks,

Thanks for your excellent work. Modded 3701 works perfectly.
@Sylar76
Hi,
Following this post [Discussion] Firmware for Asmedia Sata 6G Controllers
Would You like to upgrade Your 3701 BIOS MOD for R5E and add Firmware of on-board ASM-106 SATA Controllers is an “Option ROM” ?
Hi. After using the modded bios posted by Sylar I still don’t see the 1gbit option on the LAN port section on the bios.
This has been going on for a while now, even with the original Asus Bios.
Internet works kinda terrible on that particular PC. Any ideas about what might be going on?
Thanks.
Here is the 3701 modded bios with the ASMedia 0.97 option rom inside it. Try it and tell me if it works fine for you. I’ve also updated the Broadwell-E cpu microcode.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By28-1Y…iew?usp=sharing
THX i will try it as soon as possible.
Broadwell-E cpu microcode is not for me. Have got Haswell-E, so i can’t test it.
hmmmm, whats about intel RST/RST(e) ROM module in RVE ?
Zitat von Fernando im Beitrag #1081@ all:
new: Intel RSTe SATA RAID ROM v5.2.0.1029 for DEV_2826 SATA RAID Controllers
new: Intel RSTe sSATA RAID ROM v5.2.0.1029 for DEV_2827 sSATA RAID Controllers
In my ASUS RVE (Win 10 x64) DRV intel_rste_5.2.2.1022
Intel(R) C600+/C220+ series chipset SATA AHCI Controller VEN_8086&DEV_8D02
Intel(R) C600+/C220+ series chipset sSATA AHCI Controller VEN_8086&DEV_8D62
Is this BIOS Modules will work with my MoBo ?
or other ?
I’ve always used IRST (14.8) so far and no errors at all. I do not like IRSTe and I don’t think it’s suitable for R5E.
Hmmm, Fernando wrote this is for X99 and X299 designed. Newest IRSTe works perfect so i thought ROM also.
I’ve never tried these option roms. Furthermore, I use the full uefi mode so I don’t need legacy option roms.
Bios version 3801 now released (http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA2…E-ASUS-3801.zip)
Skylar, do you mind giving it your magical touch? TIA
