[OFFER] Gigabyte GA-97X-Gaming 7 beta bios (F9b) mod

Oh my god, i feel like Byonce or Eminem just replied to me! XD
Hello Almighty! You are a real celebrity here.

First of all, Thank you so much for your reply!

Look, i ordered Samsung 980 pro 1 TB NVME and as far as i know, i have to patch something in BIOS in order for it to work (It comes on 2280 interface i guess?)

So my goals are :

Adapting it to the new NVME
SPD Write enable.

So far, this F9b you helped to create is awesome.

Bios Link Msg #18 in this post : win-raid.com/t4506f44-OFFER-Gigabyte-GA-X-Gaming-beta-bios-F-b-mod-1.html#msg126231

Im running GA Z97X - Gaming 7 Rev 1.0.

Thank you very much!

@Overshot1989 - Ohh no, there’s no way I’m that famous!
You’re welcome though, I try to reply and help as much as I can when I can

I did not make any BIOS at post #19, nor can I deal with split files like that from here
If you want me to use that BIOS, please reupload for me to a free file host, without the archive being split.
<< never mind, got it OK
And it’s not edited properly, two padding files removed But, since he said tested and OK, then it’s OK to use I suppose

* Edit - This BIOS Does not have SPD Write Disable setting, so I cannot edit this for you, sorry
Did you try from XP?

** edit 2 - I will check on direct editing out the issue

*** Edit 3 - @Overshot1989 - Here you go, edited per http://softnology.biz/tips_spdwritecap.html
But edited with IDA and hex editor, outcome = same/same
Flash via Qflash, clear CMOS after flash, then enter BIOS, load optimized defaults, save/apply/reboot back to BIOS, then make any changes you need and test SPD write

Hello!

I already did it in that way and got no luck, thats why im here asking for help xD
Still getting this kind of error

According to the instruction of softnology.biz, this bit says it’s disabled

My dump :

So, i hope you can help me

@Overshot1989 - Ohh, I didn’t know, you never mentioned you already did that. This is the only other way, since no direct BIOS setting.
Did you try in legacy mode with secure boot disabled, and with OS Type set to Other OS? Try with XP on spare drive.
If that does not work, you’ll have to grab some budget board on ebay or something, usually before Z77 this is not an issue, so any P43/P45/P55/Z68/Z77/B75 would be OK

Here, try this, based on - How to remove SPD Write Protection for Intel LGA2066, LGA1151 and BGA1440 platform.
6A 10 53 56 found x2 in UsbBotPeim - change to 6A 00 53 56

Be ready for recovery, do not know outcome here, and it’s possible that only one of those needs edited

Also, did you try what is mentioned here at post #2, about Host Reset? If you had not tried, test this with BIOS I posted at post #23, before you test the BIOS in this post
http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/…ies-pch.754689/

I also just now see this, from last post in thread above - researching/absorbing this now - *Edit - Similar as first blog he has on this, bit different search item, but it’s not found in your BIOS so nothing to do with this info
http://softnology.biz/tips_spdwritecap2.html

I have updated my modded bios to the following (the information below shows the latest update from the stock bios version)

http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=36348715812553319665

Disk Controller:
EFI IRST RAID for SATA: 13.5.0.2164 → 14.8.2.2397
OROM IRST RAID for SATA: 13.5.0.2164 → 14.8.2.2397

* I have only updated this bios to the version 14 of the disk controller because there were concerns that the version 15 did not work with this board. I do have a modded bios with all of these updates and using the version 15 disk controller if someone wants to try it.

Video:
EFI GOP Driver HSW-BDW: 5.5.1032 → 5.5.1034
ORM VBIOS HSW-BDW: 1038 → 1044

Network:
EFI Lx Killer Network UNDI: 1.1.0.10 → 1.1.0.13
OROM QCM-Atheros PXE: 2.1.1.1 → 2.1.1.5

Other SATA Controller:
EFI Marvell SATA ACHI: 1.1.0.1020 → 1.1.0.1029

ORM Marvell 88SE9192: 1.0.0.0034 → 1.0.0.0034

Intel Management Engine: 9.1.25.1005 → 9.1.37.1002 (Due to the updated IME, once the BIOS is flashed, run the following Flash Programming Tool command in a administrator level CMD window: fpt -greset
The computer will reset after this command
If you have used my previous modded bios, using the Flash Programming Tool is not necessary as the IME version is the same in both modded bios files.

Re-enabled the 1024MB option for Integrated Video Memory Allocation

A special thanks to @Lost_N_BIOS , @SoniX , @Fernando , and @chinobino for their guidance and help in this project!

Could you upload the 15 version also? Somehow I can not send you a message on the forum. Probably I have too few posts or someting. I am using the last modded version you made with the 15 version of the disk controller. Works perfectly so I was thinking about sticking to that.

unable to download, please provide new link

@diluxp

Notice the date in posts… some users hadn’t been here a while, please use @username if u want an update from that user.
Note: Lost as been away since January and all private links cannot be recovered.

@digitalMedic If you see this, it would be great if you could upload the bios for the version 15 diskcontroller also. Thank you in advance

Have a copy of F9c bios for Gigabyte Z97 Gaming 7 if someone is interested in modding with that, reply and I’ll find a place to upload it, or just ask support like I did
