[OFFER] Gigabyte GA-Z370-Aorus Gaming 7 BIOS mod

Hi mate took a load of pics of the FF13 bios im using hope there ok
if you can mod the latest bios version alpha will be fine  with all the latest modules that would be sweet + the hidden configurations

images i hope there correct : https://gofile.io/?c=Fpuu6K

@ViRuS2k - Thanks, please wait until I hear back from @MysticalOS about above tests.

Any news buddy ?

@ViRuS2k - No, he hasn’t replied yet, as you can see above . If you don’t want to wait, you can do the tests above in post #200 if you want, then let me know outcome, this will help me do mod for you.

sure let me know exactly what i need to do as it sounds to complicated what is config lock anyway lol

@ViRuS2k - it’s easy, Qflash the BIOS I posted at #200 - test both BIOS for informational purposes if you don’t mind
Let me know which shows you new menu at Misc page >> Power & Performance << That is all you need to check and then let me know which BIOS shows the change, or if both ect.
Also, while you are there on each, go ahead and try to enter this menu if you see it. If during testing, when you try to enter Misc page or the Power & Performance page the BIOS freezes, CTRL+ALT+DEL out, or force shutdown via power button and try next BIOS

CFG lock is irrelevant here, it’s just a setting he wants. The change (addition of new menu + safe entry into it) at MISC or not is all we’re interested in for your edit, I will be putting in a different menu there for you
CFG lock is a thing that allows people to install MAC/OSX on these boards

Thanks for the info, i will get to work and report back  tonight or tommorow night thanks again mate for the help…

Update Done

F15A ( EFI Intel RST for SATA - 17.8.0.4438 + EFI GOP Driver SKL-CML - 9.0.1098)

Thanks for the info, i will get to work and report back  tonight or tommorow night thanks again mate for the help…

UPDATE: sorry i have not gotten around to this yet mate just posting a update been really unexpectedly busy these few days i will try again tomorrow

Ok Lost_N_BIOS mate i am testing now…

just flashed this bios : Z370AOG7.F14M2 under misc the power and performance option is there and i can see it, i can also select on it and it has enable/disable options, nothing freezes
but when i go to select enable and f10 when i go back into bios it still shows as : Disabled. so no change there

testing next bios now : Z370AOG7.F14M2a same as the above, both settings are there and both can be enabled but when you F10 and save the pc reboots but still shows in bios that the option is disabled…

hope this helps.

as for my bios can you do my options in the misc settings for disabling 1st 2nd or 3rd pci express ports with enable/disable toggle so that i can disable sli when ever i want with all latest updates on FF14 bios and F15 alpha if you could thanks. and any other options you want me to test i can test thats hidden and can be reenabled that would be something i would test for you

Bios Update 15a Update 1

EFI Intel RST for SATA - 17.8.0.4460

Lost_N_BIOS mate, any progress/update ?

@ViRuS2k - Thanks for testing report - This should be a submenu, enabled/disable is not relevant here (I will remove later). Can you enter power and performance submenu (highlight by name, click enter)?
I guess it may not work until I remove those settings, but anyway, I only needed you to confirm this kind of edit makes the change on the new BIOS type.

Now we know it works still, I will need to redo with the menu you wanted, and seems I will need to change item type to submenu too instead of setting.
Or, I will need to find a submenu hidden from you in an already visible section, this may be easier to sort out (less testing on your end I mean).
Or, you can wait a little longer, I have a Gigabyte Z390 should be here in few days, then I can figure out exact edit on my end for what you want, then make you a BIOS.
Or figure out if it’s possible to just reveal the hidden menus instead, that would be most ideal

Ok mate what ever way is easiest for you, i dont mind blind flashing the bios`s to test what ones work for you if you want or we can wait for you to get the board

cheers …

OK, best for me to test on my end, then there is no wait between testing from bacl-n-forth replies between us. Did you test now the BIOS how I mentioned, can you click into Power & Performance as a submenu, or not?

I will test that now and report back
give me 5 mins
---------------------

Ok mate tested both bioss for you ;)

none of them have submenus
i click into misc settings then i have options in there, power and performance, when i select it directly i get a submenu popup with enable/disable settings dont save during F10 reboot.
same with the other bios to

regards.

Thanks for testing result. “Settings” don’t save would be a given here since it’s not meant to be a setting. Ideally, you would select Power & Performance, click enter and it would bring you into the submenu.
Sounds like at minimum I need to change that elements type to a submenu instead, I’ll look at it right now and probably send you new BIOS to test since you said you don’t mind
I’ll check now I may just need to pick something else that is already a submenu to replace instead, that would be more ideal anyway (less edits overall, and less would need FF’d out)

* Edit - @ViRuS2k - You are testing BIOS named Z370AOG7.F14M2 + Z370AOG7.F14M2a correct? Asking to be sure
Can you zip me some F12 screenshots of this BIOS? Show me all you can see inside Advanced/Peripherals and “BIOS” Menu

Z370AOG7.F14M2 and Z370AOG7.F14M2a is what i tested yes.
will get on that f12 images for you give me 5 mins.

Also, in peripherals page, show me what you see inside TPM. There is three of these in BIOS, you need two new submenus, so I can replace the two unused ones with the two menus you need access to (System Agent & PCH I/O)

here you go mate,

i took images of a billion places if you need more let me know

https://gofile.io/?c=8RZ1U6

and yes i need access to system agent though pch I/O im not sure i really need that as i never change that even when i have my system overclocked as its always on 1.000v
