will give that a shot and report back , though i did a complete driver uninstall and reinstall and it installed correctly but after reboot code 43 will try some other stuff
Yes, but did you disable SLI (Software side, in nvidia app - I assume this is a thing/possible) before disabling in BIOS?
havent done that going to do that now
havent done that going to do that now
EDIT
WOW that actually worked haha ok now i have one card only detected in windows and its working
problem though well not really a problem but the link speed of one card on this system should be running @ 3.0 16x but its showing as 3.0 @8x
but disabling sli before hand actually fixed the card being detected and not code 43
Nice! Maybe, after you disable that other slot in BIOS, you can then reboot back to BIOS, and set the main slot to forced x16 instead of Auto?
Its only giving me 3.0 8x max on that cards lane but on the 2nd card its giving 16x but i have no idea how to get the other card working by its self hahaha as i have to take all cables out and swap them to the other card and figure out how to make it as primery display then find out how to just have that slot enabled
its lots of fiddling around hahaah
i have a 1080TI card though and i think there is no performance different between 8x gen 3 and 16x gen 3 and thats even when using 2080ti cards also hahaha so i think i can live with this 0.2% difference in gaming frames
let me know today if you have time with any follow ups and info i need from you and other stuff unlocked with latest F15a and F14 U3
cheers buddy.
You will figure it out. Maybe, when you disable the other card in BIOS, set it to lowest width possible at same time too. Yes, it may not matter with PCIE 3.0, benchmark both ways and then you will know.
Sorry, your last line there got me all lost! What is F14 U3?? F15a may be whole different BIOS edit, unsure if you can swap out modules (Setup PE32 AS-IS + AMITSE/SetupData BODY) once Iām done with the edit or not.
Any BIOS based on F14 (plain F14 stock), you can though, that is the BIOS Iāve been editing and sending to you
hahah yeah mate F14 U3 means - F14 update 3 lol
we will keep it simple just forget about F15a for now until its final version ok
latest F14 with updated modules and all unlocked will be perfect
Is F14 U3, from page one of this thread? If yes, I assume that is built on stock F14, and I can swap in these edits to that BIOS once weāre done, so that wouldnāt be an issue and only takes two seconds.
F15a may be fine too, but Iād have to check first, if itās setup module or AMITSE/SetupData is changed at all then all mods would need redone on that BIOS specifically.
Nice one
yes its F14 Update 3 based on stock F14
though im sure the modules are newer thats in F15a so would need to check and if its simple to swap over the mods let me know how to and i can do it with every variation of the F15 that comes out then i can probe you if F16 comes out hahaha
though i think the stuff you have unlocked for me would be awesome for anyone that uses these bios`s on this board cause it unlocks a lot of cool features i would make it standard going forward once we iron out the dupicates and finalize the mod people would love these extra things cause you can go even deeper into memory overclocking with these unlocks and also disable what ever you want without even unplugging anything stuff people would want i think
also Trusted Computing remember i said it shows up after reboot as you thought it showed up due to needing to go into nvram i dont think thats the case i think it shows up cause i load a profile that loads all my settings back up and when i reboot that trusted computing shows up
also remember when the ports PEG ports option menu didnt show up until you added it on the last bios you gave me it replaced a option called : memory configuration ?
so what i have in the System Agent (SA) Configuration is 3 menu options
Memory configuration
Graphics Configuration
DMi/OPI Configuration
that was what i use to see before the last bios edit that you did to add the PEG ports configuration it replaced the Memory configuration option menu
so it looks like this nowā¦
Graphics Configuration
DMi/OPi Configuration
PEG/Ports Configuration
hope this info helps.
I would not suggest swapping these two modules with any BIOS other than the one (Version) originally edited from, otherwise it may brick if something changed or module was recompiled as versions updated
I mean for example, if I mod 15a, it does not automatically mean 15b or 15c could use same mod files, they may change something in those two modules, so checking first would be required before you know itās OK.
Moving forward, since you want the U3 from page one, I will grab that and use as my base Hope youāre OK with that @MrBeer If not, let me know and I wont do it
I agree, this and or other similar menu edits can unlock a ton of hidden settings, there is other menus like that which could be added as well.
So, something in your settings enabled TPM, or what? Maybe just load of optimized defaults after flash, then reboot back to BIOS to make rest of desired changes, would enable it (this is how you should always flash BIOS)
No, I didnāt replace memory config option, only unsupressed (Well did that previously) and then changed access level of the PEG submenu.
What you describe, I will have to look into, it should not have done that and should be all four submenus as you see below
Memory configuration
Graphics Configuration
DMi/OPI Configuration
PEG/Ports Configuration
This is why I initially wanted you to wait, so I could do all this on my end in person, that way I can see BIOS live as I edit, change quickly, sort it all out with side by side screens and have it all done properly much quicker.
But, weāre mid-way through now, so weāll have to continue the back-n-forth test-fix-test process now
Note to self, from previous image checking (havenāt got back into this yet, no time)
Reveal HPET + PCIE root port 24
Yeah thats no problem mate i can do the back and forth hahaha, i await next bios to test out
will do optimized defaults on the next one just to make sure all 4 menu`s are there + any extra ones you uncover
and yes 14_U3 as a base would be fine
did notice though that there are newer modules out could they be added into the F14_U3 for instance
F14 Update # 3 has modules (Intel RST 17.8.0.4414 + EFI GOP 9.0.1095 + EFI Intel Gigabit 0.0.24)
F15A has modules ( EFI Intel RST for SATA - 17.8.0.4438 + EFI GOP Driver SKL-CML - 9.0.1098)
F15A Update 1 has modules (EFI Intel RST for SATA - 17.8.0.4460)
could F15a and 15a1 modules be upgraded on F14 U3 Base
@ViRuS2k - F14 Update #3 Will be new base going forward, once we wrap up the menu edits I will add in following per your request
Do you want me to use the regular, or āLogoā version?
EFI Intel Gigabit 0.0.24 + EFI GOP Driver SKL-CML - 9.0.1098 + vBIOS 1062
RST >> Intel RST EFI/ROM v17.8.0.4507?
^^ This (RST) is latest one I see in series you mentioned, I do not see exact version you mentioned (maybe pulled for some reason?)
For now, here is eight BIOS, please test all eight - http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?filā¦498719729671413
Unless PEGTestOG-FF-B105-01-05 either of these work OK. << If those work OK, stop testing, let me know which or if both OK (prefer you test 01 first, stop there if all good)
Additionally, all BIOS with 01 in name would be most ideal if OK from either set (This is default access level of this submenu)
This is attempt to resolve issue you mentioned with PEG Port Configuration/Memory Configuration
Let me know if all show all four submenus, do any glitch, does any seem like it acts different when you enter SA submenu or PEG Port Configuration
In all these BIOS, and the one I sent you previously too (?), all four submenus should be visible always.
Please remember after all BIOS flash, always enter BIOS, load optimized, save and reboot back to BIOS to make all other changes
Once we sort this out, I will move forward with majority of all edits at once.
Sweet mate, i will get them all tested tonight and report back
Ok lost mate im doing the testing now
will keep you informed every 10 minutes from now or there abouts
Ok lost_N_BIOS been testing and i started with the bioss from the :PEGTestOG-FF-B105-01-05 folder /<br /><br />Bios :01.F14<br /><br />No changes only 3 menu
s show up in the Sa configuration menu no peg menu and no trusted computing menu
Bios :05.F14
Works perfectly : All menus show up and work in the Sa configuration menu all 4 sub menu
s are there - though no trusted computing menu that slots inbetwen the PCH-IO menu and SA Agent Menu
but all options show up now in the SA Configuration menu
Memory Configuration
Graphics Configuration
DMI/OPI Configuration
PEG Port Configuration
there all there
----------------------------------------------
Tested a few from the other folder to i know you said if the options where there in the PEGTestOG-FF-B105-01-05 folder that i didnt need to test anymore but i gave it a shot to see if the Trusted computing menu would show up and it didnt the only way i can get that to show up with all options at the minute is to load my saved profile from when it did show up lol but as requested i did do a optimize defaults on every bios test aboveā¦
i tested some from the PEGTest1-00-B105-01-07 and PEGTest2-Move-B105-01-07 folders and they either freezed the bios up when selecting a option or didnt show the 4th peg port configuration menuā¦ so i stopped testing ā¦
let me know if you need more tests done also more stuff added i dont mind testing hehe
lost_N_bios mate did you die ??? lol
hello ? lost_N_Bios you ok mate something happened ??? hope everything is ok
Has anyone managed to either disable CFG Lock or enable the toggle for it in the F15a UEFI BIOS yet?
F15A Update 2 ( EFI Intel RST for SATA - 17.8.0.4507 EFI GOP Driver 9.0.1102 EFI Network 0.027 and CPU Update D2 )
