[OFFER] Gigabyte GA-Z370-Aorus Gaming 7 BIOS mod

@ViRuS2k - Sorry, was gone for a bit and lost track of things. I’ll get back on this tonight.
In the time I’ve been missing working on this mod, I’ve learned how messed up Gigabyte did these BIOS when they made the “new improved layout/design”, so I know why all this is happening and how not to mod the BIOS the older way (like we’ve been doing)
Please do me a favor, and flash stock BIOS. Then test these two bugs (#1-2) I mention towards end of this thread and let me know if they apply on Z370 as well (I assume so) - [OFFER] Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming UPD + Completely Revised Blue Theme
Using that, you may be able to access what you wanted all along (Can’t remember what that was right now, haven’t looked back while typing this out)

@Awesome_Donkey - Yes, I can directly hard disable it for you in 15a, will do tonight
* Edit - Flash via Qflash F15a CFG Lock Hard Disabled+ >> http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil…756826219755923

ok bit confused you want me to flash/test Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming UPD + Blue Theme on my z370 gaming 7 ??? is that even compatible ?

@ViRuS2k - Sorry for any confusion there! No, I meant for you to see the "bugs’ I outlined in that thread under the change log, these apply to your BIOS as well. DO NOT Flash Z390 BIOS
Flash your stock BIOS (or using the mod ones, doesn’t matter) and then following the bugs/method to invoke them that I outlined, see if you can view the settings you wanted in those hidden menus. Ideally test on stock, since in mod BIOS you will already have changes I made for you already
I don’t remember what you needed, but since our last discussion I found those bugs so thought maybe they could help. Anyway, I now know what was causing the oddities we ran into with the last mods I was doing for you, so when time permits I will get back into this and redo that for you

Yes mate those bugs are there also for Z370 latest modded bios. currently that im using F14

though PEG menu is not there or i cant find it that is lol

cant wait to see what you can do  that blue theme is great btw

Yes, I assumed those bugs were present, but I couldn’t remember exactly what you needed done in our previous stuff. I’ll get back into it shortly and fix the BIOS for you
Looking at your comments above I remember now, and while doing my blue edit I noticed how they broke things and did a lot of stuff in a non-usual-for-AMI way.
So all my previous edit for you was not done in a way that works properly with how they’ve broken how these BIOS usually are constructed, and that was why it was doing the things you noticed, so it will need done a bit differently now that I’ve seen what they did in person with editing a similar BIOS live
Thanks for the props on the Blue Theme, it was a ton of work to do that!

 yeah blue theme is great, hope all can be intergrated into Z370 bios and latest modules and everything unlocked hahaha

will look forward to testing/ trouble shooting what ever you come up with im free all day hahah

Thanks! I can’t do blue theme on your board though, I’d need that board here and then long time to do it.
All the other stuff you wanted on your board though, we can do I probably wont have time today, sorry, but I will get on this soon!

Ahh thats cool
though im sure i read you where waiting on my exact board coming to you from somewhere or i could have been imagining it hahaha
though if its not to complicated you could draw up a gui color guide and i would attempt it

cheers again i await your awesomeness

No, I was waiting on a “Similar” board to this one, in that I meant I knew BIOS on board I planned to get would be similar, so I’d better be able to do the menu edits after playing with the board I picked up (The Z390 one in the blue theme link is the one I meant)
The theme is done in two ways, across 2-3 modules, very difficult to do. Text and scroll bars are done by hex color codes in 1-2 modules and the images are all in one module and you have to recolor them and keep under or exact same size as previous, then replace in hex one by one (x 150+ images).
The text though is the real major pain, you have to most text one by one, w/ sometimes 30-40 BIOS edits to narrow down which exact edit location is which exact text in BIOS, for any one single color, in one area, and some of those BIOS = brick, some do nothing etc = Huge pain to do.
My work folder for that BIOS edit is 6+ GB, and I probably tossed out and or directly replaced some files live, I bet at least 2GB more on top of that too as I edited/tested etc.

ahh well guess everything else would be great then hahaha would take to long for me to learn all that ;D

no news buddy ?

@ViRuS2k - Sorry, always getting sidetracked and buried. I will redo this now
If neither of these get it, I will redo from scratch, it’ll be much easier for me that way since I have a huge mess folder for this and the edits were so long ago.

nice one mate
so this file what version is it based off and what have you done to it ?
so i can keep a log lol

cheers…

You Alive mate ? @Lost_N_BIOS

@ViRuS2k - Yes, all OK, haven’t you seen me posting in threads? I posted BIOS above for you, did you miss that link?

@Lost_N_BIOS yeah mate i seen the link then i asked a question, what have you changed with the bios and is there anything you have added from the one i already have  just wanted to know whats new and what modules you updated on it, and also if your doing the same to the F15 bios also

@MrBeer just wondering, but is it possible to get a modded/updated F15A BIOS based on the modded F15A BIOS with CFG Lock hard disabled that @Lost_N_BIOS posted here? [OFFER] Gigabyte GA-Z370-Aorus Gaming 7 BIOS mod (18)

Having CFG Lock disabled in your modded/updated BIOS would be most appreciated, since having CFG Lock disabled allows macOS to run much, much better on my PC.

i won;t been doing CFG Lock hard disabled . Sorry about that.

hmm why you miss my replys lol  been waiting a wile for a update on whats changed buddy
then i see a reply and you missed me out haha

I actually reached out directly to gigabyte support to send me an F15a bios with a CFG lock bios option exposed or disabled. I haven’t flashed it yet so I don’t know WHICH they did, but I do have an f15a bios file directly from gigabyte that I can share with @MrBeer or @Lost_N_BIOS over discord or something to take a look at it and see what they can learn from it. Hopefully they exposed the option so we can learn how that’s done.
