[OFFER] Gigabyte GA-Z370-Aorus Gaming 7 BIOS mod

Didnt explain it correctly - I was unable to update bios because bios protection was eneabled in bios sertings. After disableing it, everything went fine and I flashed modded bios without any issues. Thanks again!

Great you got it, never seen BIOS protection enabled in BIOS, that stopped Qflash anyway? What setting is that?

It is Intel(R) Bios Guard Technology under Peripherals menu. With it enabled you cannot update bios at all

Just one proposal - original boot logo is nicer than modded one.

One quick question although it is not related directly to this topic - I overclocked 8700k by manually entering multiplier 48 for all cores to be maximum and left all other settings on auto - now under load all cores work on 4,8GHz. Is this acceptable way of overclocking as I would like to have system at low speeds and temperature when not gaming.

U can over clock like that but u have to raise the vcore so the system will be stable .for example I use 49 and I use vcore 1.35.when u leave vcore on auto it might over vote the CPU to to much.

Also I will put the program I use to change the logo I will not be putting the old one back because this is the BIOS file that I use.but it is easy to change.

Use that that is a good guide we all use that.

Thanks @nvarga I see that often editing BIOS and wondered what exactly it guarded against, too lazy to look it up before but now I know thanks to you!
Sounds like you need to enable speedstep or EIST, if you want it to downclock to lower speeds/voltages from 48 when idle.

F12c is out with new microcode and improved stability. This is probably what you guys already did in F11.

Will do it tonight. Thanks

F12C Bios Update Update

Program to change logo on site now. Change logo with gigabyte and mod logo.

So nice of you to point that out, I never would have looked. Thanks for the fix, and I really appreciate all your work on these modded bioses!

Thanks, flashed F12c RC1.
Using original Aorus logo. Original BIOSes have underneath logo text for bios entry keys - DEL, F12, qFlash. These are not part of logo?

u can put that back just use the program on the site it is logo 1 and logo 2 . i will be not putting that back in.
sorry

F12C Bios Update RC1 Update 1 (EFI IRST 17.0.1.3764 and OROM 17.3.0.3758)

Apparently F12c was beta, and now F12 is out - dated 03/15/2019. It says it has updated CPU microcode, improved performance and stability.

F12 Bios Update (Support Intel 9th generation R0 stepping processors + Update CPU microcode + Update Intel IRST version + Improved system performance and stability)

Was wondering if you could make an updated F11.

Official F12 (and any modified bios based off of it) is full of ACPI errors such as "ACPI Exception: AE_BAD_PARAMETER, Could not install PciConfigHandler for Root Bridge PCI0 (20160930/evrgnini-339)".

Windows and linux can self correct/proceed past them, but actually halt a macOS boot completely. F11 is last bootable bios version for macOS/hackintosh boots. However, it lacks latest cpu microcode patches/vulnerability fixes.

I can. Will take me a little time I have to edit cpu code again . Will do it sometime this weekend.

F11 Bios Update #4 is done
