[Offer] Win7/8.1 Drivers for USB 3.x Controllers of modern AMD Chipsets

My report after several months of using Windows 7:
Motherboard: MSI x670e Godlike
CPU: 9950x3D
GPU: 3080Ti
NVMe for OS: Samsung 990 Pro 4TB
NVMe for DATA: WD SN850X 8TB
SSD for DATA: Samsung 860 Pro 4TB
Mouse: Razer Basilisk Pro 35k
Keyboard: Logitech X 915 Lightspeed

Status:
Motherboard - partial-OK* (only support GPT boot without MBR, LAN 2.5G work properly, no drivers for 10G LAN port and WiFi/Bluetooth, no drivers for RAID)
CPU: OK (I use the core parking feature from third-party software)
GPU: OK
NVMe: OK
Mouse: partial-OK* (Razer Synapse not working, but you can configuring mouse on Windows 11 and use on Windows 7 with generic drivers, pre-programmed additional keys work properly)
Keyboard: partial-OK* (Logitech G-Hub not working on Windows 7, generic drivers work properly, pre-programmed additional keys NOT WORKING)

Samsung 9100 Pro - I’m curious if there’s actually a problem with this new NVMe drive, because it’s ok on the Samsung 990 Pro.

I’m not buying the new version of the drive for now, as I’m waiting for the 8TB version.

I’m also curious - maybe one of you has the opportunity to check - whether LAN 5G works on the drivers provided by canonkong.

Perhaps you would be interested in a ready-made .iso image for installation?

Actually i created Windows 7 Ultimate with Polish language, but maybe i add English language in future :innocent:

nice one, it would be good to see anybody with wrx90 and x870 reports.

Sure, What I’m most curious about is whether LAN 5G can work on Windows 7.

and why not 3090ti? This build deservеs it

Hahah… thank you - sure… !

I’m currently hunting for a new 3090 Ti in European stores — I’m waiting for the price to drop, since the remaining ones cost around €2,300. I want to buy one, but it feels like a rip-off to pay that much for a several-year-old model.

That said, I’m only considering the 3090 Ti because the 4090 doesn’t have Windows 7 drivers — otherwise, the choice would be obvious.

LAN 5G can work on Windows 7, but need to replace the the modified wdf0100.sys form win10 1507.

Hello @canonkong

Long time once again!

I know you’ve probably been asked this a thousand times…but do you know any workaround to having drivers for RX 7900 cards to work on Windows 7??

Hope all is well man! :innocent:

I don’t have any 7000 series cards.
We can ues https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com to download the last driver can port to win7.
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Display - 30.0.13044.0

@canonkong Thanks so much for getting back to me!

I understand you don’t have any of the relatable cards. May I ask, will it help if I lend you an RX 7600 card?
Will having this card at-hand help make progress for 7000 series drivers for Windows 7 perhaps??

Are you saying package Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Display - 30.0.13044.0 are RX 7000 drivers that can be installed on Windows 7?? :open_mouth:

Hi,

Can you help me to solve this?
Many thanks

Mr. Kong do you have any evidence of running Epyc cpus on Windows 7? Is it actually somehow possible?

Yes,it also can work, but you need to aviod too much cpu cores.

As far as i know there should be less than 256 threads. But what chipset/motherboard do you recommend?

I think AMD EPYC 7B12 CPU is enough, this cpu seem need 300 USD.

And what about mobo model? Your opinion on that

Maybe something Gigabyte if we are gonna try epyc make it 9005 series :smiling_imp:

Maybe theres a patch for >256 thread , unless its a kernel thing like max of 32 cpus on 2000/xp x86

Another even better CPU the 9684x with 1.15GB L3 cache or one of the 128 core CPUs assuming there is no way to get more than 256 threads

canonkong, I noticed you posted an image with a Core Ultra CPU (I think 245). Is it possible to use one of those CPUs with Windows 7? I’m planning on getting a 265K but I hate to let go of my precious Windows 7.

@canonkong Thank You. I upgraded my workstation, and installed Win7x64 Pro on ASRock B450M Pro4 R2.0 with Ryzen 7 5700g.

Everything is working Great. :sunglasses:
