[Outdated] USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded)

@Fernando
The current PCI bus driver installed is:

Intel_USB3.0_v40660onSabertoothX99_W10x64_v1607build14393_PCIbus.PNG

The Intel concentratreur MTT USB 2.0 hub driver was automatically installed when i updated the Intel USB 3.0 modded hub driver.

Seems this is specific to the motherboard architecture because Intel USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 hubs are not independant.

The device, which should get the Intel USB 3.0 Switch driver, is named "PCI Express Root Complex" and will be renamed thereafter to "PCI Bus".

@Fernando ,
At the moment I have PCI bus and PCI Express Root complex:

So, do you suggest for the Intel USB 3.0 modded driver, Step 3 “Switch Driver”, to update ‘PCI Express Root Complex’ and this will automatically also update ‘PCI bus’ ?

Yes, that is what I recommend to do. By the way: You can read the exact procedure within the start post of this thread.

No. The device named "PCI Express Root Complex" will be renamed to "PCI Bus" after having installed the USB 3.0 Switch driver. The other device named "PCI Bus" will probably stay untouched. Don’t try to update its driver.

@Fernando ,
Yes, the device named "PCI Express Root Complex" has been changed to "PCI Bus", and now I have 2 devices named "PCI Bus", one is the MS native item, the other one is the Intel modded driver (switch) item.
Here are the 2 "PCI Bus" screenshoots:
AFTER "PCI Express Root Complex" modded becomes special Intel "PCI Bus":

NATIVE MS "PCI Bus" remains at that:

@100PIER :
Yes, now everything has been configured correctly.

Hi Fernando I am having a strange problem, when I eject a USB drive it doesn’t fully eject, the USB drive is still visible in explorer. I can still right click the drive and get options. I’ve tried installing the latest intel USB 3.0 drivers but he problem remains.
Image below shows problem
EjectImage

I doubt, that this issue has been caused by the in-use USB 3.0 driver.
To find out, whether it is a special USB 3.0 problem, please connect the Corsair USB Flash Drive to any non-Intel USB port or to an Intel USB 2.0 port and repeat the procedure.

Thanks for replying, just tried plugging in the Corsair USB into the USB 2.0 ports and the ASmedia ports, same result. One thing I just realized is that on this fresh install, I installed the newer Intel Chipset Device Software v10.1.1.27 instead of the 10.1.1.13. Could the newer version configured my chipsets incorrectly?

I don’t think, that the update of the Intel Chipset Device INF files is the reaon for the issue.

Just noticed this in event viewer( The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk3\DR3) I just checked and its my other Adata USB drive that causes the error when plugged in. I also tried updating the chipset device software to 10.1.1.32 but made no difference.

Edit: Doesn’t matter which USB drive I plug this error shows up in event viewer(The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device WpdBusEnumRoot\UMB\2&37c186b&0&STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_CORSAIR&PROD_VOYAGER&REV_3000#AA04012700007823&0#).

Thank you so much for the modded Intel drivers for Windows 10! I have an Acer Aspire V5-591G and after installing Windows I encountered this strange issue. Everything worked except USB 3.0 devices plugged into USB 3.0 ports. I’ve been looking for a solution for a few days now and nothing has helped except for this. There was no such driver on Acer’s driver download site.

@dmat :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum and thanks for your positive feedback!

No wonder, because Intel has never released an Intel USB 3.0 driver, which natively supports Win10.

If someone needs CH341A USB EEPROM Bios Writer I have some on stock, deliverable from Berlin.

Hey Fernando sorry for the late update, I’ve given up on trying to run Windows 7 with this board. USB isn’t the only issues I am having. So since I’m upgrading to Windows 10 is there anything special I have to do to deal with the automatic driver updates. Do I just let windows update all my drivers and just install the latest drivers over them?

For Win10 users with a modern Intel chipset system it is easy and usually very safe to let the Windows Update take care about the drivers (only exception: storage drivers for AHCI/RAID/NVme/USB Controllers).

If you want an other driver than WU gives you, you can install it on-top of the other driver as long as you do it manually from within the Device Manager.

Hi Fernando , before DM want to say thank you, set your driver Asus G75VW Win 10 Home X 64 Intel (R) SATA AHCI Controller DEV_1E03 added by Fernando version 15.0.2.1044. Since I use a small computer , it was not possible to evaluate the performance , with the bugs undetected . The question is : Is it possible to adapt the Intel (R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver for Win 10 x64? ID equipment PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E31&CC_0C03

@Documentary :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

Yes, the mod+signed drivers will work with Win10 and the Intel USB 3.0 Controller DEV_1E31.

Good luck!
Dieter (alias Fernando)

Thank you, Fernando , everything turned on your instructions , and now the driver is called Extensible Intel host controller (R) USB 3.0, then one more question: how to update the Intel (R) 7 Series / C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1E2D ID PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_1E2D & CC_0C03 and Intel (R) 7 Series / C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1E26 ID PCI \ VEN_8086 & DEV_1E26 & CC_0C03?! I hope not too tired with questions )
