didnt help!
the strange thing is that after i removed it and all of the other win-raid certificated found there and restarted the computer, still other win-raid drivers such as the rst drivers kept on working?!?!
@egozi :
The problem is only to get an unsigned or not properly signed driver installed. Once it is installed and used, it can be used forever.
anyway i am giving up on trying to install the new driver. maybe on my next reinstallation of windows 10 i will try again.
the results so far are:
both of your drivers (5.0.4.43 & 5.0.0.32) gave me same results which are ~26 Mb/Sec
the Microsoft driver (10.0.15063.296) gave me ~ 40 MB/sec
in the past before windows 10 was updated to the anniversary update the 5.0.0.32 driver gave me 80 MB/sec.
so besides the fact that i cant install the new driver, it doesnt seem to give me any good results anyway.
if anyone can explain that
I have not read the whole topic, anyone has done tests with the ASMedia 1074 controller and Intel to compare the results?
What is the best driver for the 1074 ?
Thanks
1047 just seems to be the model, but which DeviceID (DEV_XXXX) has your on-board ASMedia USB3.1 Controller?
You get it by running the Device Manager, doing a right click onto the listed âASMedia USB3.1 eXtensible Host Controllerâ (or âUSB xHCl Compliant Host Controllerâ, if it uses the MS driver) and choosing the options âPropertiesâ > âDetailsâ > âPropertyâ > âHardwareIDsâ.
The VendorID of ASMedia is VEN_1B21 (not to mix with the Intel USB Controller, whose VendorID is VEN_8086).
@Fernando ,
On my W10 64bit X99 PC I observe with USB 3.0 drivers available the same problems (MS or Intel) for a same USB 3.0 SSD device .
The unplugg request does take several tens of seconds to authorize to unplug the key.
Other problem: a random lost of Letter Player (I have to reassign manually the letter to the device).
I ignore the reasons.
I have very often the same problem, but I doubt, that it is caused by the in-use USB driver.
@Fernando ,
You are right, I have also tested the same device plugged into USB 3.1 ASMedia port. (however a more performant driver than Intel or MS driver)
I observe also about 50s to get the "unplug authorization".
I suspect a W10 factor (may be a TRIM delay ?)
For me it is not a display delay because the USB key LED does indicate when the key can be safely unplugged, and the authorization does appear when the LED goes off.
Hello everyone!
I have troubles using a laptop msi gs40 notebook (Windows 10 x64 Home) and an "Orico 2 Bay Dock USB 3" with usb 3.0 drivers.
When i transfer files from host to the external drive it hangs, and freeze my computer. I read about this problem and i think the solution is change the Intel usb drivers.
Can i use some of the listed driver ? My chipset is Intel 100/230 (i tested with chipset 8 series without luck)
Thanks for helping me !

Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!
Which are the HardwareIDs of your in-use USB Controller?
Regards
Dieter (alias Fernando)
@Fernando
Which one do you need ? (Idk which device i need to get the ID)
Display itâs in spanish, but i think is understandable
I need the HardwareIDs of the Controllers, which are listed within the section âUniversal Serial Bus Controllersâ.
Hello ! @Fernando
I can see 3 Controllers (with no devices connected to the external USBs of the laptop)
1. USB root hub (xHCI) - HWID: USB\ROOT_HUB30&VID8086&PIDA12F&REV0031
2. IntelÂŽ USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - HWID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A12F&SUBSYS_11551462&REV_31
3. USB Composite Device - HWID: USB\VID_04F2&PID_B536&REV_8251
Also when i connect the Orico Dock Station to the USB port i get this device on the âSTORAGE CONTROLLERSâ section
SCSI storage device connected via USB (UAS)
HWID: USB\VID_152D&PID_9561&REV_0105
Please let me know if you need another hwid to look into it! Thanks a lot for your help
@m3ch :
Thanks for the HardwareIDs.
According to your reports your laptop has only 1 USB 3.0 Controller and this is the Intel one with the DeviceID DEV_A12F.
To test, whether the USB 3.0 driver is reponsable for your extreme reaction delay, I recommend to try the âpure 64bit Intel USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers v5.0.4.43 mod+signed by me (with DPInst option)â.
If this doesnât help, the origin of your problems is not the in-use USB 3.0 driver, but the device named âOrico Dock Stationâ, which doesnât work properly with your on-board Intel USB 3.0 Controller.
I have a EVGA Z97 board with Win 10 Pro x64 (Creatorâs Update) and am trying to install the âpureâ modded 64bit Intel USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers v5.0.4.43. Iâve tried the DPInst option, but when I run it I get âInstall Failedâ for all three components. And if I try to manually update the drivers for the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller with iusb3xhc.inf I get the message that âWindows encountered a problem installing the drivers for your deviceâ. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!
Please post the HardwareIDs of your on-board Intel USB 3.0 Controller.

Dieter (alias Fernando)
For The Device labeled Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller I get the Hardware Ids:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8CB1&SUBSYS_103B3842&REV_00
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8CB1&SUBSYS_103B3842
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8CB1&CC_0C0330
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8CB1&CC_0C03
@fragilityV1 :
Thanks for the HardwareIDs.
The only DEV_8CB1 Intel USB 3.0 Controller, which is natively supported by the Intel USB 3.0 drivers v5.0.4.43, has the the DeviceID DEV_8CB1&REV_00 (that means without any SUBSYS_ID).
So I suspect, that you cannot use this driver.
Ahh, oh well. Thanks for checking.
