Thanks for getting back to me so fast Fernando. I have tried all of my USB 3.0 ports on the MB itself and the case. I have also plugged a usb 3.0 stick in the 3.1 slot and still the same result. Do i need to reformat the computer to Windows 7 or can i run in compatibility mode or something? Here are my Hardware ID’s.

Forgot to add my USB controllers.

@Epreshia :
Thanks for the HardwareIDs of your Intel USB 3.0 Controller.
The latest Intel USB 3.0 drivers, which were released by Intel for being used with Windows 7, do support it.
If you have a spare HDD/SSD for a Win7 installation, it would be interesting to see, whether the Intel USB 3.0 ports will give your USB Flash Drives more speed while running Win7 with the original Intel USB 3.0 drivers than with my modded ones while running Win10.
Do you have performance problems with both of them?
I will get my spare SSD drive and get it formatted with WIN 7 and see what i come up with and get back to you. So the Driver i should be using is this one correct? pure 64bit Intel USB 3.0+3.1 Drivers v5.0.4.43 mod+signed by Fernando with DPInst option.
I am having the same results with both the 3.0 and the 3.1 ports. Though i am using 3.0 usb sticks in both ports due to not having a 3.1 usb stick.
Are you sure, that this performance drop has been caused by the in-use USB Controller and its driver?
It is rather normal, that the data transfer speed to or from an USB connected device is very good at the beginníng (due to data caching), but decreases drastically once the data caching doesn’t work anymore.
>Here< are some tips how to get a better performance while using USB Flash Drives.
Had same problem with certificate as guys above, but v5.0.3.42 installed fine. Finally i got properly working usb on asus rog g752vl. Thx a lot!
Hello Fernando,
I have HardwareIDs like below and I can’t install those modded drivers.
System is Win10 x64
Drivers are for Intel eXtensible
Do you have any idea why?
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C31&SUBSYS_20528086&REV_04
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C31&SUBSYS_20528086

Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!
I am offering 2 different modded Intel USB 3.0 driver versions. Which one did you try?
Since your system seems to be a 7-Series Chipset one, you should install the driver version, which has been designed for 7-Series Chipset systems.

Dieter (alias Fernando)
I forgot to install certificates
Now evertyhing works fine Thank you very much!
Hello
Windows 10 USB drivers for Intel USB 3.0 chipsets are totally broken and only.

What means “totally broken and only”?
Which message did you get? Which tool did you use to unzip the archives (WinRAR v5.xx is required)?

I need the USB driver for Windows XP.
HardwareID= VEN_8086&DEV_A12F
There is no news on this issue?
You can ask as often as you want, but it doesn`t help: There is no Intel USB 3.0 driver available, which will work with Windows XP.
@Fernando
Your work on these drivers has been excellent. I use a high speed USB camera and was very frustrated that I could not get full 120fps using computers on Windows 10 (it was only getting about 65-70fps). Almost a year ago I used your procedure on a Toshiba laptop that came with Windows 7 and was upgraded to Windows 10. The procedure worked and allowed me to get full speed fps. The procedure did not work on laptops I have that came with windows 10 installed. I assumed this was because they never had the windows 7 “better” drivers specific to Intel. I tried the procedure again on a Toshiba machine that came with windows 10 using the new driver you added a few months ago and it worked. Now I have another machine that I have applied this procedure to and it is still not getting full fps and I have a theory on why not but welcome your ideas.
Specs:
Eluktronics (they build locally using components manufactured by other companies) 17" laptop
Intel i7-6700HQ
64GB RAM
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Because this computer has 6th generation i7, i was able to partition the hard drive and install Windows 8.1 on the other partition. When I boot Windows 8.1, the camera works at full speed. When I boot Windows 10, it loses frames.
Because this computer has 3 x USB 3.0 ports and 2 x USB 3.1 Type-C ports, my theory is the driver you modified does not work with a computer that has multiple USB HUBs and Host Controllers.
When I look at the device manager in Windows 10, it shows:
Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller
Intel(R) USB 3.0 Root Hub
USB Composite Device
USB Composite Device
However, when I plug something into the USB 3.1 Type-C port, it shows:
Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller
Intel(R) USB 3.0 Root Hub
Intel(R) USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.10 (Microsoft)
USB Composite Device
USB Composite Device
USB Root Hub (USB 3.0)
When I plug into the USB 3.1 Type-C port within Windows 8.1, I get a different list (presumably because Windows 8 does not support USB 3.1):
Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0100 (Microsoft)
Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0100 (Microsoft)
USB Composite Device
USB Composite Device
USB Root Hub (xHCI)
USB Root Hub (xHCI)
Windows 8.1 is not very stable on this machine, so I really don’t want to use it and would like to have a way to get the USB driver and device working properly on Windows 10.
Any ideas/thoughts?
@DoubleL :
Thanks for your report and your questions. To be honest, I don’t know the answer.
I doubt, that this is the reason for your issue.
My Z170 chipset desktop machine has an Intel USB 3.0 and an ASMedia USB 3.1 Controller as well, but I don’t have any problems while running Win10.
@Fernando
Are you running Win10 Pro or home on that machine? I have home and have wondered if it would make any difference if I upgraded to Pro. I haven’t seen anything in the release notes related to USB so didn’t think it could be a part of the issue but figured it was worth asking.
@DoubleL :
I am running Win10 Pro, but there is no difference between the “Home” and “Pro” variant regarding the support of the USB ports.
I have a Asus Z270E board, with windows in box driver i get insanely low performance. With modded driver no problem while transferring small files, while transferring large files usb disconnects & reconnects again frequently.
I suspected it could be power, so bought usb hub with power adapter, still the same problem.
usb 2.0 ports works always fine.

Welcome to the Win-RAID Forum!
Unfortunately I have no idea about how I can help you.
Which OS are you running and which specific USB Controller (manufacturer/model) are you using?
