Hello, so I was trying to spoof some serials of my Asus Motherboard (A620M Tuf), which is for AM5 AMD processors. I’ve tried editing the serials using HxD and UEFITool and then using the flashback feature to try to flash the modified bios but the serials simply never change. I’ve even tried using UEFI methods by booting into a USB and then running AMIDEWIN but it did not work. So, I assume there’s a bios protection that I must first disable to only then be able to change the serials. But how do I do it? Can anyone please guide me through it?

I’ve just downloaded it to try it but when I open it it shows completely wrong information about my bios. Is that right?

I wonder how did you do your hex edit to spoof your serials? What are you trying to spoof from?
Could you try to dump your bios using flashrom/flashprog? I dont know if the build i did almost a year ago will work on AM5 platform.
It should, right?.. you just have a disguised or cover ops board passing by an Asus.

I tried changing serials with DMIEdit just now but it doesn’t change as well. Answering your question, I was using the UEFITool feature that allows you to extract body and then insert body. I dumped my bios in a .rom format and I was using HxD to edit serials and find where they were. I then inserted only the parts I extracted before and did not touch the capsule part. Lastly, I used the flashback bios feature my motherboard has.
Is it possible for me to upload my dumped bios so you can take a look?
