hello,

I hope someone can help me with this:

I need to change the hardware id of a camera in a uefi bios. Can someone explain how this can be done?

info:
this camera:

ACPI\VEN_OVTI&DEV_2680
ACPI\OVTI2680
BIOS NAME
_SB.I2C2.CAM8

needs to be changed in:
GC2235
ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_33F8

Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

Why do you think, that there is a need for a BIOS modding regarding the HardwareIDs of your on-board camera?
Please do what Sylar76 has recommended.

Wow, thank you for the fast reply!

the newer bios file has a failure according to the front camera, they made a mistake by adding wrong camera information that is actually a different one… .

Strange I attached the bios file, but somehow it was not added?
I uploaded it here right now:

Thank you!

The attachment of any file requires, that you have put it into a *.zip or *.rar archive.

yes (before I made it a .7z file) with zip it is working

I’m trying to figure out how change hardware ID. Stay tuned.
