Recommended AHCI/RAID and NVMe Drivers

@TQTVN
By the way - the latest Win7 compatible Intel NVMe drivers named IaNVMe.sys are the v4.4.0.1003 ones dated 05/16/2019. Do you want them as well?

Please give us a feedback regarding the results of your tests.

Greetings!
I am using a Z370PD3 motherboard/
EFI Modules Intel RST RAID Driver - 17.8.3.4687
OROM Intel RST for SATA - 17.8.3.4687

Is it possible to update the NVMe M.2 module in the UEFI firmware?
The board has 1 NVMe M.2 connector
Is this question irrelevant?
Thank you.

There’s no need to update the default AMI NVMe DXE driver in the firmware, instead look for the best OS driver performance to your needs/disk model.
RST and oROM do not interfere with NVMe storage unless using Optane disks.

Thank you.
I downloaded the Kingston SSD Manager x64 program from the Kingston website
It says there are no updates available.

The Kingston SSD manager and similar apps, usually do not care/check for Firmware DXE related or OS driver related, a standard MS AHCI driver is enough, it’s mainly info and disk fw management.
What impacts on performance is the OS driver used by disk controller and this is NOT the model of the disk vendor, a Kingston model XXXXX can be using a Phison controller for example, this is what matters.

Ok.

I will look for drivers and such.

Errors are alarming, although everything works fine, speed 3200

That’s not useful info on a disk chip controller used… it seems you’re using an NV2…

Thanks!

UPD:

I looked here again

Used for UEFI controllers:

For work in Win11 drivers:

Intel RST Drivers & Software Set v18.7.7.1013.1 for Win10-11 x64

and

pure" generic 64bit Phison NVMe driver v1.5.0.0 WHQL for Win8-10 x64

excellent work and runs, no errors/

Thank you very much for your help and this wonderful forum.

Where is the Samsung NVMe driver 3.2.0.1910 (x86+x64) ?

All 6 driverpacks are stored on my backup SSD.
Do you want to get them? If yes, for which Operating System (Win7/Win8/Win10)?
What is the reason for your request? The latest drivers are usually the best.

Which better, Phison generic NVMe driver or Samsung NVMe driver?

I need for Win7

Look >here<.

Is Intel develop NVMe driver for Windows 7. Can u upload it?

Attached are Intel’s latest Win7 compatible specific NVMe drivers v4.7.0.2044 WHQL dated 10/17/2017.
They were designed for old Intel NVMe SSDs and the HardwareIDs of their NVMe Controllers, but may work with non-Intel NVMe SSDs as well, if the installation will be forced by using the “Have disk” button.

32bit Intel RSTe NVMe drivers v4.7.0.2044 WHQL for Win7 x86.rar (243.6 KB)
64bit Intel RSTe NVMe drivers v4.7.0.2044 WHQL for Win7 x64.rar (293.7 KB)

Is Phison NVMe driver just a Windows 8.1 stornvme.sys backported?

@TQTVN
This is the proof, that the generic Phison NVMe driver v1.5.0.0 for Win7 has been digitally signed by Microsoft:

Microsoft would never give a WHQL stamp to any modded or backported driver.

Idk why driver version is 6.3.9600.17336?

I don’t know it either.

Yep, the Realtek NVMe drivers have driver version is 6.3.9600.17336 (:wilted_flower:)
