@Fernando ,
Many thanks for the status on AHCI protocol.

Referring to your ‘this’ thread, about nvme driver i see a new comer is Toshiba XG3 1TB SSD M.2/PCIe NVMe with a specific driver.
Seems a SM950 competitor…

Can you give me a link to Toshiba’s NVMe drivers?

no driver btw not available at this Time for XG3, more Info can you read here,

@morpheus67 :
Since your recent contributions regarding the OCZ/Toshiba NVMe drivers, which you had posted into >this< thread, have been absolutely off-topic there, I have moved them into this better matching thread.
I hope, that this is ok for you.

it is OK for me.

Yes, it’s ok, sorry for your work.

Hallo,

i have tested the last Marvel Driver. He does not Support Trim. But you can solve this Problem, when u use the Standart AHCI Driver von Microsoft. The MS Driver have the same Speed.

Flakigel

@Flakigel :
Thanks for your info.
What you have written is correct, but only valid for users, whose Marvell SATA Controller is running in AHCI mode. If the on-board Marvell SATA Controller is running in RAID mode, there is no chance to get TRIM support.

By the way:
As far as I know the only chipset manufacturers, which offer AHCI drivers with TRIM support, are Intel and ASMedia, whereas the AHCI resp. RAID drivers of the following chipset manufacturers do not (yet) support TRIM:
1. AMD
3. JMicron
4. Marvell
5. NVIDIA
6. VIA

Maybe you should rename the thread title.
Another option would be, that I move your post and my reply into >this< already existing thread.
What do you prefer?

Hallo,

please move the post.

Thx

Done!
