I have a DELL 7080 mff unit which support 10th gen intel CPU
it shipped with i3 10100t CPU. I replaced it with a i9 ES QTB1, and it could not boot.
I use fptw64 -d -bios and got the bios file of this machine.
but it seemd that the bios file has microcode for QTB1(0651)
need some help with the bios file… thanks in advance
Here’s the bios file7080mff.bin
OptiPlex 7080 support
latest bios version is 1.3.2
adding new microcode is only the beginning, please see helpful guides on this matter (should give you the idea behind)

Help adding CPU Microcode to Dell 7060 BIOS?
and more…
oh right, scratch that (dell support page is not really friendly)
@sinlessx
I have the same 7080 MFF
There is no service mode jumper on the motherboard.
Try to run fptw
Prompt I don’t have read-write permission
How did you get the BIOS?
Any updates to the 7080 Micro Form Factor Bios to include this microcode for these processors.
Now, 2 years later, I also tried it. But there is no progress. Listed as follows:
1.msi Z490 can support QTB0 normally (same CPU, see picture), I extracted the microcode of MSI and compared it with the extracted 7080 microcode, there is no difference. But 7080 can’t boot up and can’t enter BIOS. Flashes two amber and one white. CPU error.
The files are as follows:
qtb0:
MSI Z470
7080mff

2.7080mff has no service mode. MEINFO can’t read information, fptw can export bin. As shown in the picture:
- I searched a lot of information but didn’t find a solution.Someone mentioned dell or limitation (P0 stepping). Or there are other limitations.
4.I have a programmer and can also operate pinmod.
Please help. Thanks
