[Request] Full NVMe support for ASUS Z87-WS (BIOS Version 2004)

Good day all.

I am new here so I’m am looking for any help and support with adding full NMEe support to my old ASUS Z87-WS motherboard.

I can’t seem to find anything to this exact make and model.

It seems that this motherboard within windows / linux can see and read/write to nvme drives using a pcie card, but it is not seen in the bios and is not bootable.

I have been reading the following post, that it is possible to add NVMe support for booting, but I am not sure what I am doing.
[HowTo] Get full NVMe Support for all Systems with an AMI UEFI BIOS

I do have a XGecu Pro T48 programmer so I have already made a full backup of the current BIOS from the Winbond W25Q64FV chip, so if anything goes amiss I should be able to get back to the start again.

If you need any additional information please do let me know

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Win-Raid Forum!

Contrary to you I found within this Forum an already NVMe modded BIOS for your mainboard.
You can find the download link >here< at the bottom of the first post.
Good luck!
